    I purchased this for my 5qt artisan design mixer and couldn't be happier about the decision. My stand came with the standard beater (metal without silicone edge), and I can't bring myself to use anything other than this new one! Perfect for scraping the bowl, perfect for helping with a smoother mix and perfectly easy to clean with the non-stick coating. I am going to purchase another one (or two) just in case!!!

    This beater is better than the one which came with the machine. the rubber side does well scrapping off the side of the bowl while mixing, and so there is not many times to have to stop the machine and scrap off the side.
