This is a solid metal piece of kitchen aid equipment. I knew the plastic one would last as long so I decided to purchase this one and glad I did. It grinds meat with no problem.

If you have a kitchenaid and love making home made proteins this is the best thing ever. The plastic one im sure is great but freezing the metal hopper really makes keeping meat cool during grind much easier.

Great attachment. By itself I have no issues with this unit. It is a pain to clean which stinks, but it is well made, more so than the plastic. If you're using this for high fat meats, I would recommend placing this in the fridge before use. It is really nice to control what goes into your burgers or sausages but we do not use it very frequently.

We have used it to make fresh ground meat every week since we bought this attachment and it works like a charm. It is also very easy to wash since it comes with a brush for the inner side. Best ever made grinder.

I always prefer to purchase the brand name accessories and for goor reason. You get what you pay for.

We used it to make some homemade sausage. The grinder was easy to attach to the mixer stand. It worked great and was easy to clean withno problems. Also the box is great to keep for storage.
