It does everything like toast, bake, warm and other features. I use the timer and other function myself when I make things for him, he just uses the timer and when the item is doen pulls the plug to end the cycle. All in all the house hasn't burnt down yet and its ease of use is adequate, its heating coils are well functional and it not too much of an eye sore. that's an A++ in my book
