Good replacement for a kitchen aid mixer

The retainer clip had a problem in the old mixer. Do not know if parts are available to repair so replaced it with this new unit. Hope that it lasts longer. It would probably cost more to repair than to replace it with a new one in out now throw away society!

I seldom use my stand mixer because this handheld works so well. The first one I owned worked for almost 2 years; the second one worked for 14 months. There is a plastic piece that holds the beaters – on both mixers one of the plastic pieces pushed in so far that they no longer hold the beater. It is pushed so far in that you can pull it out with any type of tool. It is a shame they do not last longer because they do work so incredibly well. I am looking for a different brand to replace the most recent broken one.

Great basic hand mixer
