Attractive, reliable hand mixer

This KitchenAid 5-speed hand mixer is attractively styled in Onyx black and chrome, which goes well with our kitcen appliances and decor. It is also easy to use and clean up, and takes up much less space than a stand mixer, which might make it a great option for those with smaller kitchens. We still use our 6-quart stand mixer for the larger and heavier jobs like cookie dough, but this hand mixer is great for the lighter work.

Not as powerful

Something has changed in the torque of the motor, and it does not have that heft and power my old one had. This updated version is less powerful, and the beaters are not as sturdy as my old model. It's a good one but not a great one.
