I think the kitchen aid name is a bit oversold, you're paying for the brand and not necessarily for a good design or a fantastic product. This works well but nothing out of the ordinary.

If you are a heavy user, you will want to step up to the more expensive and more powerful unit. Does everything it should do, no real frills

You tend to get tired holding it while mixing. I'm definitely buying same brand: kitchen aid complete mixer in the future.

Just bought this as a backup. KitchenAid quality has deteriorated quite a bit of the year. The mixer is much more louder that the older version and the wire is not in a convenient position

Does well with everything from Egg Whites to Cookie Dough. Very sturdy in hand and comfortable to hold. And the color is a great addition to my other kitchen appliances. Highly recommend !!
