I purchased this mixer as a Christmas gift for a friends mom who had just changed her kitchen colors to blue. She was extremely excited to receive it and I was thrilled to be able to gift her something in her new colors. I thought all was good, but found out differently when her daughter grabbed the mixer for the mashed potatoes for Easter dinner--and it was her Mom's old red one! Come to find out, each time she tried to use the new blue one, the whisks flew out from the casing! She said she tried every thing to get them to stay in--and they clicked and locked into place, so she knew they were in--they came unsecured, nothing worked to keep them in for use. Very bizarre, to say the least.
