This is my 3rd machine in 3 years, they either brake down or start shedding metal pieces. The most recent one makes a loud noise while being used. The one my grandmother has is about 15 years old and is very smooth with no noise.

Having a 4 year old who is always wanting to help makes using a hand mixer not a fun task. We purchased this since it is covered, it not only keeps the mess down, but doesn't allow access for my 4 year old to stick his hand in the bowl while mixing.

Well, I use it weekly, usually, more than once. I cook and bake so much more now that I have this. TY Kitchenaid. My husband thanks you too. It's one of my favorite BD gifts of all time. Love it! Love the color. It's looks so grand on my kitchen counter.
