This is my 3rd machine in 3 years, they either brake down or start shedding metal pieces. The most recent one makes a loud noise while being used. The one my grandmother has is about 15 years old and is very smooth with no noise.

I wanted a new one in a new color to match the kitchen in our new home. My old one, still in perfect condition, was passed on to my daughter. KitchenAid is a diehard machine and once you have one, you'll never look back! The Copper Pearl is a stunner! WOW!

I now make my own pasta. I also use the food processor. It is so nice to have one small appliance that will do everything except cook. The only issue I have had is that the lock on the head vibrates loose when I am kneading dough.

Shipping from best buy was quick and efficient. I will say after having used a pro model also that I like the tilt head on the classic and artisan series better than the raise and lower lever used on the pro.
