this is our 3rd kitchen aid mixer in 30+ years. we could probably get more use out of them if we had someone locally who we could get to fix them. we are having issues at the 15 year mark and using them hard for the entire life. I'm not aware of any more durable mixer for this price, so I'm satisfied.

Kitchen Aid has always been a hallmark of baking and dessert cofection and of course this product delivers. The amount of things to do with the available attachments grants an incredible amount of versatility so you worry less about how to make a dish and enjoy it more.

This is a powerful mixer, so maybe not, necessarily, for beginners. I love it, use it for baking.

Really not much to say about this one... it's a great mixer and I love mine! Despite it's weaker 250W motor, this is still a heck of a deal, especially if you find it on sale like I did. Works with the standard Kitchenaid accessories, and the motor is plenty strong for people who tend to make smaller batches of baked goods. If you're an avid baker who needs to make large batches (more than 6 cups of flour at a time), skip the classic and go up a few models.
