Bought for the price...

Sturdy construction, well packaged but one of the attachments has to be hand washed (stainless steel) yet the bowl is stainless steel and can be put in the dishwasher. You will also get discounts on accessories for registering the item with Kitchenaid.

Fantastic mixer, got it as a gift to my sister

Prior to buying it, she had always wanted a good quality mixer. I am glad I was able to get this pro mixer for her as it has improved her business and shortened baking time. I recommend this, especially for bakers. You'd enjoy it.

Love this thing, have made several batches of cinnamon rolls, cookies, and pizza dough using this workhorse since purchase and it is working great. Can't believe the sale price I got it at before the holiday season, absolute steal if you can get it at the $200 price point.

The beater is the only full unfinished metal piece now, the dough hook and regular mixer are now powder coated white vs the old raw metal design. Might be cheaper for them to produce, but they are dishwasher safe now!
