Absolutely a must for any kitchen. Solid steel and tons of power to mix anything. Lots of attachments available.

I have owned one of the first Kitchen Aid mixers and have enjoyed it very much. Since that time, other members of my family have had one also. We have been so happy with ours and this holiday I had the opportunity to buy one for a very special person who could never afford one and loves to cook and bake. She was so surprised and happy, she was totally speechless. She has already started using it. I got it on a very special deal making it possible for me to give her this wonderful gift. Thank you.

This mixer is as as good as others have said - it did not disappoint! Enough power is supplied to mix the perfect batch of cookies which was my initial project. Very easy to set-up and just as easy to clean. Mixing bowl is perfect size for my needs, though others might need something bigger.

My wife loves this for making pizza dough and cakes. She says its nice to be able to mix wothout her arm hurting. She has the shaved ice attachment and uses it constantly.

This has a ton of power and is very easy to use. We set it up right away and have been enjoying it ever since.

I absolutely love my new mixer. This is my second KitchenAid mixer. My first is over 20 years old. I am a huge fan of this nee mixer. The bowl is larger and this version is a bowl lift which is fabulous. I make lots of cookies and bread, so I appreciate this mixer

Good size, really strong, great performance, on the down side, a little noisy and as the small model, it gets hot on the surface

This is such a great product. Helps makes batches at a time! Love love love! Only minus is it’s heavy but if it’s kept in one place there’s no issues.

Pros: This is a very powerful machine. My the attachments (food processor and meat grinder) work GREAT with this unit. Far superior to the Artesian 4.5 quart tilt head that I used to have (had to downsize years ago when I moved out of the country). When I was in the market for a new stand mixer I was ecstatic to see this on sale for cheaper than the Artesian unit. Higher capacity bowl. This is great for making bread dough and masa dough for tamales. Cons: No tilt head. It's a pain to add ingredients. You have to pull down the crank to move the bowl down. You have to pull the attachments down into the product to get it off, then leave it in the bowl as you remove the bowl. It's a bit odd and annoying. Perhaps this wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have 10 years of use with the tilt-head version and was used to that. Scraping the sides of the bowl is also a pain since you can't tilt the paddles/whisk out of the way. With the larger capacity of this unit, I found that I needed to scrape down the sides more often. But it's harder to get to without the tilt head. I think a mixing attachment with a scraper would be beneficial but can't say for sure since I didn't buy one (they are sold separate and are $50). The lock in tab in the back to lock the bowl into place is awful. Getting the bowl in and out is annoying. I have to put it into the hooks on either side, then snap the back part down. Sometimes it's gets my powder ingredients all over. I don't like it. Cooking with my teenage daughter is not as fun, as she gets frustrated she can't get the bowl in and feels she has to ask for help. (She's a normal, able-bodied, intelligent, honors student and she says using this makes her feel dumb) I know some of the reviews say people get used to this, but I actually hate the way the bowl attaches. Hate it. I thought about removing or bending the tab, but figured there's a reason it should be on there, to stabilize the bowl or something. So decided to return this and go back to the artesian. For our low volume of use, and ease of use, we decided this model just isn't for us. I think this unit would be great for a serious baker but is just overkill for our level of use.

I got this item as a present and was worth every penny. It saves so much time in the kitchen and would highly recommend it. We have had it for over a year and it is still in perfect condition.

I bought this mixer for my home business at a really great Black Friday price! I needed a larger mixer for my bigger orders and this mixer is already proving it's worth. I mixed up a single batch of my cookie recipe, and had room to have done a double batch. It mixed up very quickly as well. With the single batch, I had none of the ingredients flying out like I did with my smaller KitchenAid. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase!

Doughs are much easier to make when I don't have to sit there for half an hour kneading dough. I can clean the other dishes or start the next item while the mixer does all the work. Has a good capacity and can handle large batches though it will big down a little with a heavy pastry dough I have found. Works well for pretty much anything that needs to be mixed, and as long as you don't leave the bowl to sit too long nothing is hard to clean.
