I have had a 5 qt Kitchen Aid mixer for many years (at least 20). It still works fine, but I left it in my old home when I moved, so I purchased a new one. I'm sure it is just as good, but it is lighter, the motor has a hitch (slow) on start then gets up to speed, the switch is different for speed controls and the motor has a very different sound. I have only used it once so far, but it worked well.

Was looking for the perfect gift for my wife and saw this on sale for $300 of MSRP. Best product on the market and best price to boot.

I bought this when it was on sale and I love it. I would pay full price for this since I love it so much. I have used the tilt-head mixers before, but I do prefer the bowl-lift better. It handles tougher dough better than the tilt-head and can handle larger batches as well. I love baking and I use this all of the time. I bragged about it so much, my parents bought one too. Definitely recommend!
