We've used this mixer at least a dozen times for all sorts of food preparations during the holidays. Couldn't be more pleased. Seems so much more substantial than our older model KitchenSid.

This mixer is magic! Easy to use and it mixes dough and liquid items into a ready to use state with no effort and SO much better than twice the time with a hand mixer. Can't wait to try even more recipes. Made gingerbread cookie dough into ninja gingerbread men with my grandson like a pro tonight. How fun and what great memories!!

It’s amazing! It works fantastic. I make bread so easily. I wish it could attach/detach without having to take the attachment off first, but overall good design

Works like a dream and built like a tank. It is quite heavy so would not recommend to those with limited strength and a need to move it frequently.

Professional Grade mixer has all metal internals and inherently stronger bowl-lift (as compared to hinging top of the amateur grade mixers). Mechanically this is far superior to the Artisan model. It is also cheaper than the Artisan usually, because the Artisan is more about fashion (available in many colors) than about the actual business of cooking. Given that many people buy these simply as decorations for their designer kitchens, that makes sense on KitchenAid's part. For those of you who actually do cook though, this a better buy and second only to the 6 quart pro models that have more power.

Large, super powerful, and the gentle start is great. I've used a tilt head in the past and for most jobs, unless you absolutely need 5 qt, the tilt head ones are just more convenient. They slip under a lower top cabinet, and the bowl pops in and out more easily, plus the beater lifts out of the way when adding ingredients.

Did I just quote nelly in 2023, yeah. Got 2 of these bas boys. I caught it on sale again and its come in handy when making large cakes or making cake/frosting at the same time.

Used many times and have had no issues, feels heavy and well made, so far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Kitchenaid products without fail!

We went from a 5 quart tilting head KitchenAid mixer to this Pro 5 Plus Bowl-lift KitchenAid and we can definitely see the power difference. The tilting head mixer would work noticeably harder to mixer a double batch of bread dough while this mixer easily handles it. The attachments for this mixer are larger than the other one we had so we couldn't use our old beater, whisk, or dough hook. However, other attachments like our pasta maker, slicer, and grinder all fit as expected.

Amazing product, used over and over again. This bad boy does dough, potatoes, whatever you through out it. Sturdy build, and holds up to the KitchenAid name.

I love my new mixer. Have used it to make cookies, ice cream cake and bread so far. Very pleased. One warning... adjust to higher speeds slowly or the content of the bowl may go flying (my son learned that the hard way).
