Did I received a refurbished model?

When I registered my model with KitchenAid they referred to it as a refurbished model. Would you please be gracious enough to let me know if it's been refurbished? It's not that I'm against refurbished models, but considering I thought of was purchasing a new one I would like to know how that happened :-(

Considering I am used to just using a hand held wire whisk, this is a huge (and welcomed) upgrade! It is quite bulky though so make sure you have storage room before you purchase it!
