I've read so much about these mixers over the past few years but never decided to invest in one. Finally, I settled with this one. A few regrets: I wish I'd paid more attention to the fact that this thing does NOT reach the sides at all, or the very bottom of the bowl. It would be fine if it was easy to scrape the sides and bottom into the mixture and turn it back on, but this one doesn't tilt backward, so I still haven't figured out an easy way of taking off the mixing attachment to move around the product inside. The worst part is having to turn it off and remove the mixing attachment before removing the bowl. Pulling the mixing attachment down an inch means putting it back into the product and having to scrape it all off again. I would have preferred a machine that tilted, but that's my bad. Further, id prefer that a $200 machine come with a scraper attachment for the mixer that I see on sale nowadays. It does its job, and I no longer use a mixing machine by hand, but it's frustrating to say the least

Great deal during thanks giving which I gifted to my wife to help her bake cakes and pastries at home. this is also useful for mixing pizza dough and also for atta dough mixture for Indian flat bread (roti/chapathi) Body is very solid metal and no shake while mixing and I would say it lasts generations for sure.

It's a KitchenAid ... that says it all. I've had a K45 for 43 years and it's bee a workhorse. It still works, but when I saw the great sale price I decided I really wanted the 5-quart capacity. So far I love it. The only ding I'd give it is getting the bowl on is a little tricky at first, but once I got the hang of it, it's no problem.

Finally bought this mixer after my old mixer stopped working. It is made very well, the only issue I have with it is just it takes a bit of strength to take the mixing bowl out. I worry that the metal tab that keeps it in place might break if I force it too much. So far it has been a great purchase!

This mixer is great whether you're just starting to get in the kitchen (like myself) or an experienced baker (like my wife). This was a gift for her but after seeing how easy it is to use I started trying it myself. It's great!

Just got my 3rd kitchen aid mixer, the other two are still running. So far this ones just as good.

I bought this Professional 5 Plus Series Stand Mixer to replace the smaller tilt head I burned out because the motor couldn't accommodate the heavy bread dough I was making and boy am I glad I did. This stand mixer takes up a bit more room on the counter but it does the job for everything, including that heavy dough! It is absolutely worth the investment if you use stand mixers often, trust me!
