The machine works great. I use it on a weekly basis to make Mexican sweet bread, sandwich bread, cakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and many other pastries etc...

I had the smaller tilt head kitchenaid mixer and recently gifted to a friend and purchased this professional series. What I expected in performance and reliability.

All metal gearing gives peace of mind. After multiple batches of masa I knew it would last as it had no problem with the mix. You do have to lower the bowl and remove the attachment to remove the bowl but it does not pose a problem. The tilt head Artisan is better in that aspect, but you are losing some strength with the gearing.

So happy with my purchase! I have been wanting this mixer but never purchased it due to the high price. Bestbuy had a great flash sale and I got it 50% off!! Too good of a deal to pass up!
