There is no shelf or area in my kitchen where it can fit in. Had to return it. It is 16.5 inches tall and my cabinets are exactly 16.5 inches from the counter at their highest point - - - I should have read more detail before purchsing it.

It's cheaply made, terribly noisy, and it's only a 5 quart bowl. Our first attempt using it was a fiasco. It couldn't contain our recipe as I had thought that it was a 6 qt bowl. My bad.....put it was noisy, hard to use and as another reviewer noted, we had shavings dropping from around the spindle. Needless to say, it's going back to the store. We have another one, smaller back home and it's cheaply made too. Made in America.....what else can go wrong!!!

I bought it because of the color and matte finish. I am having to get used to the way the bowl attachment change and that the bowl lifts up and down.
