It was always difficult to get a consistent mix while trying to keep everything inside the bowel. This machine makes it so much easier now. You just turn it on and let it do all the work. You can even walk away from it. This version is very large and heavy so I don't recommend it if you have limited counter space or will need to carry it across your kitchen to get to an outlet.

Sometimes you need to turn the switch on and off a couple of times to get it to begin mixing. The bowl is difficult to get on. It seems to mix okay, although I've yet to fine a shield that fits. I wish one was included. I purchased this to replace one that was around 15 years old and had a smaller capacity, and this one is disappointing compared to that one.

The bowl hangs rather than the traditional screw into the base making for a louder mixing. I worry what the fatigue factor will be, but overall it is high quality product and my SO loves it.
