This mixer is awesome! I've always wanted one of these. Cleans easily and is high quality. It does take up a bit of my counter space but it's worth it!

This is perfect, just the one I wanted. I absolutely love the KitchenAid mixer! It’s so much easier to bake now! and Of course the Black Friday deal made it a must buy.

I have been using a used Oster stand mixer for the last 20 years; the thing is probably 30 years old and still works well. I thought it was time for a new mixer and had my eye on a KitchenAid for a while. My aunt who is a consummate baker urged me to get one with the larger bowl, so when this was a deal of the day, I nabbed it. There’s nothing wrong with the machine per say. I think it just doesn’t work well for my preferences. Some things that bother me: the bowl lift makes pouring ingredients into the bowl difficult. It’s weird angles and usually I have to stop the mixer, drop the bowl to add ingredients and then restart it when before I could pour flour or liquids in while the machine ran. Also, when the beater is in, it is difficult to remove the bowl. It Is a down, dip sort of motion. I could remove the beater and let it sit in the bowl/mix, but that makes a mess. The beater doesn’t reach the sides well either. I do have to stop and mix in the sides frequently. Finally, there aren’t a lot of accessories for this model (like something to beat down the sides of the bowl, although I don’t think there’s one for this model), so I’d encourage purchasing one of their more popular mixers if accessories are what you’re looking for.

I bought this for my daughter because she wanted a bigger mixer and she loved it!!! We have two mixers now at home and both are very useful and fun to use. Our family fully trusts Kitchen Aid especially their mixers.

I love this mixer. I didn’t want to spend that much on a mixer, so I bought multiple cheaper ones throughout the years. None came close to this one! Do yourself a favor, save time and money and purchase this. Love it

Best Buy of the year!!! Bought two for house warming gifts for the granddaughters. They will have this for a long time, great buy and a great item.

Having worked with Artisan models previously, the increased size is definitely nice, but losing the tilt function has a big impact on usability. There's no spring above the attachment to keep it firmly in place, although the rotation does a decent job. It's much more convenient to tilt the head back to swap mixing attachments than to push your mixer down into the batter and then take it out. Marginal benefits for signifigant utility loss. Maybe if you got a v6 instead of the 5 the total benefit would outweigh the loss in convenience.
