If you're into baking this is definitely a must have appliance for your kitchen. The KitchenAid Pro 5 is a work horse. I use it mainly to knead my dough and mix various food items together without a hitch. The attachments are easy to take on and off and cleaning is a breeze. I'm excited to try all the other available attachments that this stand mixer has to offer. Build quality is very nice. I got the Onyx black version and the paint job and craftsmanship is excellent. KitchenAid has done an superb job in making this product for consumer use.

I've only used the mixer a couple of times so far but the reason I chose this mixer is for it's known durability. Only time will tell if it paid off but from everything I've seen so far, it's great!

The mixer is fantastic. It was a Mother’s Day gift for my wife. This past weekend she mixed and baked 3 sweet potatoes pies and 2 pound cakes without a problem. The mixer handled the job.

best you can buy, it’ll never die. Keeps my wife in the kitchen so I don’t hear her (what rhymes with kitchen?) It’ll make you a cake, and for heavens sake, this mixer is no fake!

I've had this for over a year now and I still love it! Works really well for all of my baking needs. With this I am able to multitask and get things done quicker.

We are impressed with the increased power of the motor.

It is to big for what I need. It works great, but don't have room for it and with such a hugh mixing bowl a regular size recipe barely covers the bottom of the bowl.

I bought this mixer so I can make bread and also potato chips and other things and it works absolutely wonderful very pleased with it.

I got this mixer to replace my mom's Classic Kitchen Aid mixer that we've had for over 40 years. It is just as wonderful. Got it for my husband for Xmas because he loves to make cookies. Highly recommend!

This is a well-built mixer, which I highly recommend. This mixer has been discontinued, but you can still get it. I've only used it once to make hand lotion, which would normally make this review irrelevant, however I feel it is relevant because of my experience. While reading the reviews, I read where someone said the whisk attachment turned their mix grey because the whisk was hitting the bowl. I had the same issue without the whisk hitting the bowl. I washed and dried the bowl and all attachments before using them. When finished making my first batch, the lotion directly underneath the whisk had grey streaks through it. I'm not sure why as I had approximately 1/4 inch between the whisk and the bowl. I've not used it since, but my gut feeling is that something leached and it will probably go away after a couple of uses. I'm making hand lotion and the grey stuff really won't matter like it would in a cake batter, etc. That said, fit and function are fantastic and I still highly recommend the mixer with the side note about the leaching of color into the mix.

This is our second KitchenAid stand mixer and it is the same high quality appliance we knew it to be. It is a little tall for our counters but we've made it work. Looking forward to many years of mixing!
