There's a reason you see KitchenAid mixers on many of the "baking", "cooking", "recipe" TV shows - they're excellent machines and reliable. Numerous accessories and add-ons are available, but the bottom line is the motors are powerful and do mixing work that would be difficult by hand. They clean up nicely, look good in the kitchen, and just plain work. She's making me hand-made (well, the KitchenAid will help) pretzels for the SuperBowl tomorrow. Dee-lish!
