Catching this thing on sale at the right time was exciting! Have been thinking about getting one for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. The professional series is where its at simply because the bowl mounted up is so much more convenient than the base mounted bowl of the original. Great value, much needed appliance in our kitchen!

I have wanted an KITCHEN AID stand mixer for years, and settled for an OSTER and another brand. Now with this sale price and the terrific reviews, I am thrilled and so is my family. The only small issue I had was that BEST BUY advertised other items that a tilt head mixer would use, along with my larger mixer. Consequently, I did order and then had to pay for return of the items. Pay attention the the difference of the Pro Series 5 vs. tilt head, for covers etc. I have made bread, pizza dough, and my first Angel food cake with whipped cream- A dream stand mixer! I LOVE my MIXER!

Haven't used it enough to get a real feel for it, but the few recipes I've used it for turned out to be a breeze.

If you are doing some heavy baking, this is the best product you can go with for the price. It's strong, but a bit noisy while handling heavy loads.

I have had a 5 qt Kitchen Aid mixer for many years (at least 20). It still works fine, but I left it in my old home when I moved, so I purchased a new one. I'm sure it is just as good, but it is lighter, the motor has a hitch (slow) on start then gets up to speed, the switch is different for speed controls and the motor has a very different sound. I have only used it once so far, but it worked well.

It does what it surpossed to do & then some.We have used it aprox. 2 to 3 times a week and is worth the effort.Easy to use.
