It still works well and has been well used. I decided to upgrade and am very happy with the bowl-lift style. It handles stiff doughs much better and the larger bowl is more convenient to add ingredients and scrape. I have been a baker for 50 years and gifted myself this mixer. I love it!

Awesome for the wife

The only meh we have about it is the latch on the back of the bowl. It locks the bowl into place while mixing but it's kind of a pain to pull.

KitchenAid cheaps on in small ways, but stil 5*

I fully expect this to last decades or more. They have started skipping on a simple, but IMO important part. They removed a spring and washer that held the attachments on more securely. Other than that, it's a great machine with a strong motor.

Worth every penny

My wife saw one of the cheaper versions on sale and said she would really like one. I waited until she would be gone on a Saturday and priced it at Best Buy, was able to get the heavier duty one on sale for the same price. The wife loves it and was so excited that I got her the heavier duty one. As a bonus she thinks I spent a lot more than I did.

KitchenAid is worth the cost

I didn’t know what I was missing. The KitchenAid Stand Mixer is easy to set up and use. Since it is a recent purchase, I have only used it for a small number of things. I am excited for the mixing possibilities and really put it to work.

Nice sturdy, heavy duty mixer
