Although the tilt head has cheaper to buy attachments this is a very reliable and powerful culinary tool!

Such a great addition to my kitchen, machine is powerful with many different speeds, comes with 3 paddles. I got mine for more than half the original price, so happy to have this work horse in the kitchen

I have been using a used Oster stand mixer for the last 20 years; the thing is probably 30 years old and still works well. I thought it was time for a new mixer and had my eye on a KitchenAid for a while. My aunt who is a consummate baker urged me to get one with the larger bowl, so when this was a deal of the day, I nabbed it. There’s nothing wrong with the machine per say. I think it just doesn’t work well for my preferences. Some things that bother me: the bowl lift makes pouring ingredients into the bowl difficult. It’s weird angles and usually I have to stop the mixer, drop the bowl to add ingredients and then restart it when before I could pour flour or liquids in while the machine ran. Also, when the beater is in, it is difficult to remove the bowl. It Is a down, dip sort of motion. I could remove the beater and let it sit in the bowl/mix, but that makes a mess. The beater doesn’t reach the sides well either. I do have to stop and mix in the sides frequently. Finally, there aren’t a lot of accessories for this model (like something to beat down the sides of the bowl, although I don’t think there’s one for this model), so I’d encourage purchasing one of their more popular mixers if accessories are what you’re looking for.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom, she loves it.

I love baking and was using a little hand mixer. I decided I really wanted to do some serious baking so purchased the kitchen-aid mixer. Baking is easier, faster and more consistent. I love this mixer.

having issues with locating accessories for this mixer because it is not the more common head tilt design, most accessories don't fit. Does work great for everything though
