Sometimes you need to turn the switch on and off a couple of times to get it to begin mixing. The bowl is difficult to get on. It seems to mix okay, although I've yet to fine a shield that fits. I wish one was included. I purchased this to replace one that was around 15 years old and had a smaller capacity, and this one is disappointing compared to that one.

VERY EASY TO CLEAN! THE ONLY THING I'LL CHANGE IS THE BOWL, MINE CAME WITH A GLASS ONE THAT IS VERY HEAVY AND IS SCARY TO HANDLE!
