Best possible replacement for 42 year old KitchenA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a replacement KitchenAid for our original one that lasted for 42 years. We purchased another 5 quart mixer with the hope that all of our 5 quart bowls, beaters and attachments would be compatible. Sadly, neither the bowls or beaters fit the new machine. The new bowl is wider and more shallow than the original. This seems to allow more air to be incorporated into batters and egg whites which produce a better cake or meringue. The attachments like the meat grinder, pasta maker DO fit the new machine. We are generally pleased with this new KitchenAid, but doubt it will last as long as its predecessor. We would both be over 100 at that time so we don’t consider this to be a deterrent!
