I would love to give this mixer 5 stars, however when we went to use the attachments to make pasta the Hub Gear to for the attachments was never installed. So we know have 3 pasta attachments we cannot use.

I used to manage a small pizza shop in the early 2000's. We had an old floor standing mixer (Hobart D300) to make dough, sauce and to shred cheese. It was so much quieter than this little thing. It sounded like the gears weren't properly greased. As an industrial maintenance technician, I decided to tear into it. There was plenty of grease in the gearbox. However, there were a couple of places where there were rotating parts without grease. I took some of the excess grease and put it on the bare metal and put it back together. It's so much quieter now and all I hear is the whine of the motor (sounds like a cheap remote controlled car). I wish I would have taken a picture of the problem areas to assist KitchenAid in rectifying the problem.

I bought this for my mom for Christmas and she loved it! We put it to the test on Christmas evening by making some pies and using our reliable mixer. It is GREAT!! It mixes with ease and is very sturdy and well made. I saved a couple hundred buying it for Black Friday Weekend!

This was a fantastic price for a Kitchen Aid Mixer. Maybe a little louder then I expected, but worked fine.

Bought this mixer during the black Friday deals and I must say I wish we would have had one years ago. I fought my wife a very long time over purchasing one of these. I was stupid and she lets me know that daily. I didn't think we needed this but man was I wrong. I do most of the cooking and use this thing a few times a week. It works great and is easy to clean.

My daughter loves it and make it easier to her to bake.

My wife grew up using the same "professional " series type of the Kitchen Aid Mixer. She learned ho to mix and bake so MANY different types of cakes, breads, saucesm toppings and more with her dad. Keep in mind this was in the 1980's. Ive heard alk different kinds of stories of shared times with her dad doing all of this as wellas having the pleasure of tasting each one!! She passed her dad's Kitchen Aid Mixer to our daughter because I had been promising her a newer model but in red, So I did it! The first time she used it we found out NOT to double ANY form of recipes - i.e. lets say cookies. The mixing bowl might be the same capacity but it is rounder and wiser rather than taller as the one she's grown up with,This newer version cannot handle it! So its one batch at a time. Very time consuming especially with a woman who is acustommed to mixing multiple batches at one time. Baking breads when mixing in flour for your bread dough be ready! Your clean kitchen will turn into walls of all purpose flour (my experience - 1 recipe /batch= 2 loaves ) The bread turned out great! The mess is terrible!!) Buying the splatter shield shouldn't be extra nor should the beater blade with the scraper given all the time wasted in keepingthings right. My wife LIKES the mixer. She's wishing it was more sturdy and as well made in endurance and proper capacity as the earlier mentioned Kitchen Aid Mixee. Honestly Kitchen Aid needs to find a happy medium somewhere to have a better quality mixer. Because I know my wife would love for our new one to last and endure aa well aa her dads did so that its passed down to our grandchildren one day as we did our daughter for her dad.

I’ve been wanting one for the longest time. It was on sale and I went for it. I love it. Cuts my baking time in half. Mixes fast, perfectly and it’s quiet when it’s on. Greatest kitchen appliance I have bought for myself.

Love how easy it is to tackle any size job for the average home cook.

Very stable base, easy to set up. Nice assortment of attachments. Only wish it had a bowl scraper attachment.
