I was so excited for a bigger machine, but everything about it is a little awkward. I know I’ll eventually get use to how it lowers and taking off the attachments (instead of lifting the head), but it’s a change for sure. And did I mention the noise? It’s so much louder then my old one. Horrible high pitched noise.

Posted .Hi Lisa, Thank you for providing feedback on your Professional 500 Bowl Lift Stand Mixer. The operating sound of the 5-qt. stand mixer will be different in tonality and slightly higher in decibels than the operating sound associated with the 4.5- or 5-qt. tilt-head stand mixer models. The internal all metal gearing system assembled in the 5-qt. model does make the mixer sound different than the smaller models.
