I ended up keeping one because my daughter-in-law had already bought herself one before Thanksgiving. The quality has gone so far downhill, it wouldn't be worth $100, much less $200. About 25% of the time the switch doesn't work. Beater doesn't reach bottom even if you adjust it. And the bowl has dark scratches around the rim as if it's not really stainless. And it's loud. My old Kitchen Aid cost less and worked like my friend. I may give this one to Goodwill and go back to my old one. It's only 22 years old.
