Broke on first use

It is only spot welded on and not very well. Customer support from KitchenAid has been 'OK', however it's been 3 weeks since it broke and I filed a claim. Still no new bowl. Also, the mixer paddles enamel chipped when the bowl broke and it hit the side of the bowl. It still works but I have to hold the back of the bowl in place the entire time it's on.
