Best buy issue not product

I received this as a gift from my husband. It was purchased early since there was a sale. When we used it-it made a loud grinding noise and when I put on level 1-the machine doesn't work. Tried to bring back to exchange the product and best buy stated I would need to contact kitchenaid since it has been past 14 days!! Not purchasing from them again. There policy is quite ridiculous. I understand the policy on electronics but appliances? Gah! Now I get to take more time to contact kitchenaid to get a nee one sent and return this one. Not happy!
