He was very excited but the first time he tried to use it, the bowl lift was broken. He works but when he tried to call both Best Buy and Kitchenaid there was too long a wait time. He also doesn't have a vehicle so it is difficult for him to get to a store. He is using the mixer but has to balance the bowl on something in order for the beaters to reach the bottom.

It's easier to remove the bowl and beaters. I think mine was a lemon, it didn't turn on all the time. I tried it out, but ultimately I returned it.

But, the beaters did not scrape the bottom properly, even after adjusting. Since the head did not lift, every time the bowl needed scraping, it took forever to unplug the mixer, remove the beater, lower the bowl, scrape, etc., then go through the reverse motions and start over several times. It toook twice as much time to mix my batter. Hopefully, a lift head would be a better option, but this particular mixer wasn’t the dream machine I’d been wishing for.

I don't like the metal bowl or the fact that it is raised up. It does not completely mix the ingredients in the bowl and must be lowered and wiped by spatula and then raised again. The knob shown in picture to lift the bowl up was missing in my mixer box. I am not going to return the mixer but I wish I had my Mom's old stand mixer.
