When our 20 year old reliable KitchenAid hand mixer couldn't hold on to one of its beaters anymore we wanted to replace it with another KitchenAid to get the reliability of the brand. We were not disappointed with the Ink Blue model. It has 2 more speed settings, the same sturdy frame, and the beaters are held by what seems to be a more robust mechanism.

I love the color red. Works great. Light weight. For a hand held blender, you can't beat it.

I purchased this open box. It is well made although I feel the ''blades' may be a little flimsy. I did use it to mix mashed potatoes and it worked well so it is not too flimsy for that task.
