the kitchen aid mixer is a very high quality with variables speeds which we have used so far for baking cookies

As this is a hand mixer and not a stand mixer, I would not use this on thick cookie batters, but for whipping egg whites to a stiff froth and adding sugar and vanilla, and then whipping soft butter into a buttercream, it's great. I just made a perfect batch of French macarons with almond and vanilla. A++

My wife's hand mixer broke down, and we decided on this KitchenAid one because she loves her KitchenAid countertop mixer. The quality is noticeably better than our previous hand mixer, and we haven't had any issues with it. It's definitely worth spending a little more on.

I was looking for an inexpensive mixer which would do the job when I needed something done. I infrequently bake, so do not use a mixer all of the time. But on the occassion when I do bake, it is nice to know this mixer will be able to handle the work. I picked the color to match the new items in my kitchen.

Love this mixer. Hard to find a good quality hand mixer. I love the red color. My mixer gets a workout every holiday with cookie baking. This mixer never disappoints. It is just heavy enough and handles well. So glad I purchased.
