    The beaters are thin, especially compared to "old school" beaters, but these are AWESOME. The mixer is smooth, quiet, lightweight but heavy duty, and five perfect speeds. It's powerful. Plus, it's KitchenAid, so you know it's quality, especially with regards to their mixers.

    I have only used this one once but seems to work just fine. I have used this same mixer (different color) for years and works great. Based on prior experience decided this was a good hand mixer to buy.
