I purchased this soundbar for my room. I was a little skeptical about it being a 2.1 channel soundbar without an included subwoofer but I decided to give it a shot and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Setup was extremely easy. A single power cord and an HDMI cable was all that was needed for my setup. The bass on this soundbar is immaculate. Also has 2 top firing speakers for Dolby Atmos. I genuinely think this is the only soundbar I would recommend for 48" TVs and below. It is not too far off from the Bose Smart Soundbar. Heck, you could even put this under a 32" monitor! Only con I have with it is that it does not have airplay or Wi-Fi capabilities. However, most people will not be using those features anyways.

The Klipsch Flexus CORE 100 2.1 Soundbar is a true thing of beauty - both visually and aurally! The setup was extremely easy. I plugged in the provided HDMI cable and connected it to my TV and I plugged in the power cord. From there, I easily connected to the soundbar from my iPhone via bluetooth. I listened to a playlist and it sounded simply outstanding. I then watched some TV and the sound from the soundbar was very good and perfectly in sync with the TV. I did have some issues initially with crackling sounds emitting from the soundbar when the soundbar was playing audio from the TV. To remedy this, I unplugged and replugged the HDMI cable and there have been no further problems. If you have this issue, be sure to check the cables because it could be just that simple. It has since been working flawlessly and I am able to switch back and forth easily between the TV audio and a playlist whether I play it from my iPhone or my laptop. It has connected easily to all bluetooth I have tried - my phone, MacBook and PC. This soundbar is smaller than most in size but it is huge on sound and weighs in at 10 pounds! This has 2 - 2.25" ceramic drivers and 2 - 4" built in subwoofers. It doesn't come with an external subwoofer but if you feel it is needed, you can purchase them to expand your sound system. Personally, I enjoy the compact soundbar and am liking not giving up floor space to a subwoofer. For now, I think it sounds fantastic as it is and have found that the louder it is, the better it sounds. This thing can blast, as it should, being powered by Onkyo and made by Klipsch. These are 2 names I know I can rely on for great sound. I was watching a movie just now and I heard footsteps and I thought someone was coming into my room... but it was the TV... someone was approaching. Great immersive sound! The Klipsch Connect Plus app is where the initial setup took place. There are a few settings that can be adjusted from within the app such as a basic equalizer allowing you to adjust bass, treble and mid for a custom setting. They have supplied some presets as well. The soundbar manual can even be accessed via the app. I love this Klipsch Flexus CORE 100 2.1 Soundbar. The sound is superb, it was easy to setup, pretty to look at and small enough to not be in your face with its size. Connections have been uncomplicated and steady. This is a soundbar I would very highly recommend to anyone looking for a extraordinary sounding smallish soundbar or anyone looking for a great sounding soundbar to build upon later.

From the moment you start opening the soundbar, you can tell that Klipsch put a lot of work into making it a good experience for purchasers. The packaging is very descriptive and obvious, even down to having the remote and cables boxes labeled for your convenience! Furthermore, they used a piece of cardboard packaging in the box as a dual-purpose protection for shipping and to act as your drilling and measurement guide if you desire to mount this sound bar to your wall! All in all, really well designed. As for taking it out of the packaging and hooking it up, it is truly plug and play. No, really, it is. I used my old soundbar’s HDMI and even the power cable (It is a universal two plug barrel adapter type) to hook up the soundbar and much to my delight, it was up and running the audio out of my system, including the full suite of eARC features that allowed me to be able to control of the volume of the soundbar with my Apple TV remote. This is so nice and makes for the smoothest integration into your set up! From the factory, be aware that this soundbar comes with the Bass at ZERO. Yup, you read that right, zero. This can go up to +6, so I was relieved to be able to crank it up when I first fired up my music and hear that this speaker had some more guts to it than its factory setting conveyed. The maximum bass is by no means room shaking, but this soundbar is just here as it stands alone to get your setup started. The bass fills up the room with excellent low frequency tones and thankfully is tuned nicely so as not to have any junky sounding rattle on the soundbar itself. The two modes the remote triggers are Movie or Music. I find that music mode really opens up the mids and treble range and punches out the vocals with distinction. The movie sound mode could be best described as providing audio that acts like a pseudo surround sound and blends the bass, mid, and treble ranges together beautifully. If you twisted my arm and asked me to pick one that I would leave it set to, that would be the movie setting for sure. Ed Sheeran’s song, “Afterglow” just absolutely fills up the room with “all the sound” at volume 30 on the soundbar and with it set to the movie mode. I was in a state of acoustic bliss, listening to the full range of the song as it swept over me. Being able to switch on the fly between these two modes is great and will let users tune each audio experience to their preference. For movies, this soundbar is doing things just right. My go to for testing audio is the famous battle between Gandalf and the balrog at the bridge of Kazad Dum. The whole audio of the battle is projected with excellence from this soundbar. The incredible song of lament that follows as the party members of The Fellowship of the Ring exit Kazad Dum is so gorgeously projected in its range of the alto and soprano singing with the bass and tenors beneath of it. I truly got lost in the sound and forgot for a moment that I was reviewing a soundbar, not just watching one of my favorite movies, haha! The only thing I found to be off-putting audio wise after the song ended was the dialogue between the LOTR characters. I would say on Movie audio mode, the voices maybe have a bit too much “Sparkle” in the higher pitches of speech. Perhaps it was just my ears adjusting to the new audio experience of the soundbar, because I got used to it over time. As the product stands by itself in isolation in terms of quality, I would positively give this soundbar 5 stars out of 5. For this price, however, I just can’t recommend this product to buyers when there are other soundbars out there with an external subwoofer included for the same or even a lower price. As far as my ears go, which are arguably more experienced at reviewing audio products than your average Joe, I am just not hearing where this is a $350 soundbar by itself. It would really need an external sub to be the whole package for a true home theater experience and that is going to set you back another $299.99 for their compatible model. A buyer would be far better off putting their hard-earned dollars towards a different system that can really fill the room with audio with a soundbar, sub, and possibly even surround speakers, as opposed to paying the premium for the name “Klipsh” inscribed on the front of their soundbar alone. I did notice when looking at Best Buy’s offer page for this that Total Tech members can get an extra $71 off as of the writing of this review. This brings it somewhat into a better range, but not everyone can take advantage of this discount. Overall, I love the quality present here that Klipsch is famed for, but at the end of the day, this review is about audio and helping buyers put their dollars where it will matter most. I hope this review has helped you!

I would give this soundbar 5 stars, but I had difficulty trying to program my Verizon FIOS remote to work with it. I found out that it had something to do with only Bluetooth working between remotes and the soundbar. Verizon uses an infrared signal. I finally did get it to work, quite by accident. I'm not even sure how, but I definitely could not have my FIOS settings use Klipsch for audio. Meanwhile, all else works great. Bass is strong, and for bedroom use, I will avoid adding an expensive sub-woofer. The sound is very good and is better than my Sony TV speakers. Dialogue, especially using the enhancement settings, is very clear. I can't say that the virtual surround sound is spectacular, but again, for a bedroom, it is acceptable. You can control the soundbar with the supplied remote or via the Klipsch app, both fairly versatile. Playing music (using Music mode) on this soundbar produces a great sound. Overall, I am quite satisfied. Setup was easy, by the way. Glad I waited for a sale to make the purchase.

This soundbar (once you get past the weird name) is what I have been looking for all this time. This soundbar does what a soundbar should without drawing undue attention upon itself. Black on black on black, the way a soundbar should be. No lights or distracting indicators on this guy. The power supply is internal, so no plastic block shoved behind the TV. The connectors are all made to be accessible to humans, well spaced and marked. The connections are stone simple, each one working correctly, and barring Bluetooth, no set up required. The touch buttons are cool, but cat paws are also able to push touch buttons on the top of your soundbar, which can lead to some fun surprises. The remote is unremarkable, a good thing here, as most of the remotes for soundbars are remarkably bad. As with most TV soundbars, I did not have to interact with the remote much at all, the eARC connection via HDMI taking care of the soundbar’s power and volume. I just plugged it into the TV and was off. Sound quality is beyond expectations. Vocal clarity is amazing. It has an open, “forward” feel to it, presenting the sound for you to enjoy rather than having to strain to hear. Without getting into a cane-shaking screed, I can say the stupid streaming show sound issues are not present with this soundbar. If only for this reason, the Flexus (?) 100 is a breath of fresh air in our living room. We can even understand British people. I wonder if there is some sort of electronic trickery going on in there, but if there is, keep it up! This is the first soundbar I have heard that can legitimately stand on it’s own. I am a bass junkie and have always had a powered sub on my TV. There is no mistaking the lack of a sub here, but it’s not a bass-less wasteland, either. Voices sound like voices, there’s still some thump to stuff blowing up... You can connect a sub to this bar, it has a simple RCA subwoofer output, or you can get one of their wireless subs to connect, as well as a small pair of “wireless” surround speakers. I can use this bar on it’s own and it’s quite satisfying with a reasonable surround effect. The segment LED display behind the cloth on the front of the bar feels like sweet relief after squinting at the ¼" tall display on my previous 2 bars. Thoughtful design! I have read a couple of negative reviews online for this bar, and it’s very clear those reviews saw the names Klipsh and Onkyo and thought they were reviewing a high-end music product. This is a TV/movie soundbar and it does that job admirably –because- it is not made or tuned to be a Klipsch/Onkyo music system, it’s made for explosions and yelling and David Attenborough, but it manages to not completely fall on it’s face with music content either. In my opinion, this Klipsch Flexus 100 is the best value right now in TV sound. Highly recommended.

Klipsch Flexus Core 100 When I first got my hands on the Klipsch Flexus Core 100, I was excited to use this sound bar. After a couple of days using it in my house, here’s my experience with it: First Impressions and Design The soundbar itself is compact and modern-looking, fitting in seamlessly with my minimalistic living room setup. The soundbar has some weight to it (heavy for its size). Its black grille and metallic finish feel sturdy and durable without being flashy. I appreciated how the touch controls on top were both subtle and functional, but I primarily used it connected to my TV. Setting It Up Installation was straightforward. I connected it to my TV via HDMI ARC, and it synced up almost immediately. Also I connect my phone to the speaker via Bluetooth which worked flawlessly with my phone. Sound Quality The sound is where the Flexus Core 100 really shows its worth. Watching movies was a completely different experience compared to using my TV’s built-in speakers. Thanks to the deep bass from the built-in subwoofer. TV speakers you just hear the sound with this soundbar you feel it. When it came to music, the soundbar handled most genres well. Acoustic tracks sounded natural and balanced. For not having a subwoofer you still can feel the bass. Day-to-Day Use The touch-sensitive mute and volume controls were nice to have, but I found myself relying more on the remote for quick adjustments. Switching between audio sources was hassle-free. I used it both for casual TV watching and phone. It just works and works well. What I Liked • Sound Quality: Clear highs and solid lows, with an overall immersive experience. • Build: Sleek, minimal, and fits well in smaller spaces. • Ease of Use: Simple setup and straightforward controls. What I Didn’t Like • No Wi-Fi or advanced streaming options like Chromecast. Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a soundbar that’s easy to use, provides great sound, and doesn’t demand much technical knowledge, this is a good option. However, if advanced features like Wi-Fi streaming or support for multiple audio formats are deal-breakers, you might want to explore other options. Definitely would recommend the Klipsch Flexus Core 100 soundbar.

The Klipsch Flexus Core 100 is a great little soundbar that is easy to set up and has great performance. First off, it comes packed very nicely with all components very clearly marked. It even includes all hardware to mount the soundbar to the wall if you prefer. I opted to just place it on the stand in front of my TV, but it's nice to have the option and not have to buy any extra hardware if I ever want to wall mount it. Setup was a breeze. I simply plugged the HDMI into the ARC HDMI port on my TV and my TV instantly recognized that I plugged in a soundbar and switched audio output to that. I can control the volume with my regular TV remote, and the soundbar will even automatically turn on and off with the TV. Of course, I believe these features may vary depending on your TV. Sound quality really surprised me. For such a small soundbar, it has amazing sound. There's a surprising amount of bass considering there's no external subwoofer, although you can add one if you prefer. The soundbar also features bluetooth and usb connections as well, if you'd like to connect your phone or other usb device to play music. This worked pretty well, and while I won't be using it that often, it's nice to have the option for those that do see themselves using it. I should point out though, that as far as HDMI inputs, there aren't any. You just get the connection to the TV and that's it. So if you plan on using the soundbar as a switcher or receiver, look elsewhere. You'll need to plug external devices into the TV directly and then use the ARC to play audio through the soundbar. Overall I am very satisfied with this soundbar. Setup was simple, and performance was top notch. It even provides potential for growth, as you can add surround speakers and/or a subwoofer if you ever want to down the line. Highly recommended if you are in the market for a soundbar.

Klipsch partnered with Onkyo to produce the Flexus Core 100 model, combining Onkyo's tech with Klipsch's acoustics. At only 28" x 3" x 5", they've created a great compact soundbar that delivers exceptional sound. At 10lbs, it feels substantial - not some cheap plastic gadget. The unit contains two 2.25" drivers and dual 4" subwoofers to create significant bass without an external subwoofer. If that's not enough sound for you, there are connections for a wired subwoofer (which can be any brand) as well as connections for Klipsch wireless subwoofer and surround speakers (available separately of course). Hidden behind the front grill is a display with 1" alpha/numeric characters which are easy to see from across the room. I connected my Flexus Core using an optical cable, to an older TV that didn't have HDMI eARC. Although there may be some sound limitations with this method, I didn't notice any. I have this set up in a 12x14 guest bedroom and it provides more than enough sound to fill the room. I did notice that with the optical connection, my TV remote wouldn't control the volume of the soundbar so unfortunately I still need two remotes - one to change the channel, and one for the volume. The TV remote does turn the Klipsch on and off though! The box contains a QR code which leads you through the set up, although it's really pretty simple. The app allows EQ customization and the unit paired easily with my IPhone for great-sounding music. For a compact soundbar (only 28" long), this is a great product that sounds terrific. With the ability to add future speakers it's a definite winner.
