    Great Value, Great Sound

the klipsch sxt sound system for your ipod is a great buy. for under $200, this ipod speaker can't be beat. hdmi output instead of svideo would be great but at that price, who can complain? the remote control doesn't offer as much freedom as some of its similar competitor models but does the job just fine as far as play/pause, next, previous, and power. an equalizer would be a great addition for all of the audiophiles out there but i suppose the ipod has one of those built in anyhow. overall, i give it two thumbs up. great sound that won't break the bank.

Like the sound, small size and remote. The iPod nano gen. 5 doesn't sit as securely in it as I'd like, but it still works fine. Overall, very happy with the product.

    Best Portable iPod SoundPlayer

This product sounds great. I can turn the volume up all the way and it still sounds good. I was concerned about how these iPod players would sound because of their small size. The iGroove is exactly what I was looking for, small size, great sound quality that maintains its clarity at high volumes, and for a cheap price. I was orginally looking for something under $100, but after hearing this thing at the Best Buy store even with all the noise in the store, I definitely wanted it. If you are looking for a small iPod player, this is the one.

Great IF you like lots of bass

it doesnt give you the feeling that you are at a concert and I think you'd probably get that feeling more with the Bose ipod speaker which I think I'll trade up to; I'm willing to pay over or nearly double the price for that experience. I went into the sound settings of my ipod and checked 'bass reducer' but the speaker still gives it too much bass albeit w/o distortion and at high volume. They remind me of Grado headphones- great sound but could still do better at studio reproduction. The Klipsch doesn't seem to deliver the detailed sound that I was hoping for. And if you care about the remote, you won't like that it is not a RF meaning that you have to point right dead center of it for it to work. The bottom line is if you are on a tight budget and you are more of a tv snob than a sound snob, you like lots of bass anyhow, then get this speaker. But if detailed sound is what you are after, then fork out the extra cash and get the Bose. It's a one time buy anyhow. These days, a big deal is made out of tv resolution but what about 'sound resolution?

I spent one hour at the store with my I-pod testing it on literally every speaker system they would let me use. This was the loudest speaker for an I-Pod, hands down, the next loudest was the Altec Lansing. The music sounded great - Hip hop, Rock, and musical selections were all mindblowing on this speaker. Bang for the buck, these are the best ones on the market right now, buy it, you will love it.

This is a great sound system. If you are looking for a big sound at a reasonable price point, consider this product. I did my homework before purchasing and many of the reviews compared the sound of the Klipsch to that of a Bose system. I have to agree. For the money the Klipsch SXT is a great buy!

    Comparable to Bose

It's far more compact than the Bose series II, but sounds just as good. It's incredibly powerful for such a little dock. You could put it in an auditorium and still hear it just fine. Bose docks are of course louder than the igroove, but you can get Bose sound quality without breaking the bank. You don't get that crunchy effect when you pump up the volume, either. The sound is smooth and clear. Very pleasant to listen to.

Big draw back for me beings I have a 4th generation not being able to charge it in the station. The box doesn't say it won't, just that it charges the 30 pin Apple connecters. If your looking to charge your iPod this won't do it. Outside of that this a great station for the price, just gonna be a hassle charging it seperate.

I looked on-line for a really long time to find a good speaker system for the I-pod that I was buying my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. I read all the reviews on many different docks and systems. This one seemed to have great overall ratings so I went with it. Even after all of my research I was skeptical, because it was so small. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with this system. It is very loud and has great sound quality even when it is loud. The only thing that is a flaw at all is that I wish it had an equalizer to adjust the bass and treble. On some songs the bass is too much when it is loud and it sounds a little garbled, but it isn't bad. I would think that it would be hard to find a better dock for the price. I am sure that you could pay a lot more for Bose and get a little better sound. There were a lot of docks in this price range though, and this one definitely exceeded my expectations by far.

Love the sound that I get through this Kilpsch system. Price was great and it works with my oldest click wheel iPod as well as my newest 4th gen. iPod touch. The sleek design looks great on my countertop.

    THIS THING KICKS A$&!

I have read some of these reviews about "the bass is not that impressive" or "the sound is ok". Let me tell you something, this thing absolutely rocks! Consider the fact that you are dealing with something so very small, and the drivers are extremely compact, I have not heard ANYTHING that compares to this for the money. I am an avid audiophile and have bought more than $200,000 worth of audio equipment in my lifetime, and I was so impressed with this that I had to write a review. I am thoroughly impressed with the bass response as well as the highs. My mouth fell open when I listened to it in my office. It sounded good in the store, but the store is so huge, you lose a ton of the response. Get this thing in a normal sized room, and it rocks! I have had many, many Klipsch products and this one is no different. They have superior products that hold up over time. This was the best sounding unit that was at the store- including the overpriced BOSE. I laugh at people who pay BOSE prices because they "hear" it is the best. Get a clue and buy this thing!

    Great...except the remote

Ok, So I have had other iPod docks and they were just mediocre. I got the Klipsch on-sale at a price I could not resist, but would have no problem paying 150 for them. Having other Klipsch products, I knew that the company was capable of making an outstanding product. This dock took longer to get out of the box than it did to hook up. I ran an aux. cable out the back input to my laptop and use it for listening to music off the laptop as well as sound for movies, tv shows, etc. The lows on these speakers are incredible, as well as the highs and over-all sound quality (Crisp, detailed, textured, and emotion). With that said, they can blast music extremely loud without distortion and it sounds as good cranked up all the way as it does at 10%. I had doubted it's power at first, having gone from a Klipsch 2.1 system to a single unit, but they perform as well as the bigger 2.1 system. When it comes to the product construction, it is definitely built to last and withstand a little abuse (they were in a backpack in the bed of a truck rolling around for an hour or so). For the remote, it stopped working about 6 months into ownership. You can buy a new one off the manufacturers website for under fifteen bucks. At the end of the day, these knock all the other brands out of the race, yes even B**e which costs 2x as much (previously owned a dock). Hope this helps. Save some money and get these, not the other, high priced, brand!

Compares favorably to the Bose wave radio in terms of sound but without the hefty price tag. Could not believe the reproduction of sound that comes out of it. It's small enough for an end table allowing your I-pod to be at your fingertips. Could not be happier.

plug it into the wall and listen to your favorite tunes. It takes any kind of ipod(ipod nano,40gb,20gb,etc...). charges ipod so you can listen to it has long as you would like. I used it at every barbeque so far and it works great, it is loud enough to get over the loud noises of the barbeque.

I'm so happy right now because I just bought this product today. :) I've been looking for ipod speakers for a long time cause most of them are way toooo expensive or cheap and bad quality. I finally found this one for $149 plus I got warranty so it totaled up to like $183. I took it home and the sound is sooooo good you can hear it through out my whole entire house. The remote control that goes with it is amazing! and it has a whole bunch of adapters for other ipods so if your friends come over and want to put there ipod nano or ipod video in then it has an adapter for all ipods :) . I definitely recommend this!!

great sound from a small, relatively cheap ipod speaker system. very easy to use, and has an unassuming appearance. i wish it had the ability to function as a radio (since my other stereo has poor reception), but otherwise it has been great.

We purchased this as a second docking station for our home. It's intended use was to provide music in a relatively small space. It has proved a superior value. The sound is great and it's compact. We've been very happy with this purchase.

Bought this for an alarm clock/bedroom music system. It's tiny and has crystal clear definition. As you would expect with its size, it doesn't have a lot of bass to it. However, if you want to shake the room with a house beat, then buck up for a complete stereo system. Not sure how it compares with the Bose that cost $100-300 more, however, I can't imagine they offer more for that price than maybe more bass response. Wish it had a 3.5 mm out to add a computer speaker sub, but, other than that, I'm ecstatic!

I purchased this thing yesterday so, as far as life, I'm not sure how it will hold up! What I do know is that this thing can put out some sound. It actually had my wife and I laughing at the amount of sound coming out of such a small unit. Wish it had a radio or something else built in, but I knew it when I bought it! Great product!
