Terrific Speaker Upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly recommended to anyone looking to upgrade their computer speakers for gaming, music and movies. I play World of Tanks and wanted some BOOM to go along with the game, and I wasn't disappointed! I had getting-old-but-nice-for -their-vintage Labtech's that weren't cheap at the time and the difference is staggering. The sub volume control is great and needed to not overdo a powerful speaker system...turn it down a little for the game and back up for music. They're not reference-quality, but the monitors are very clean but not over-bright and the imaging is also impressive- I rate excellent, particularly for their price. Would be a terrific gift, and looked to be a much better value and better specs than the comparable Bose system with a sub.

AMAZING!!!! WOW!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely AMAZING! These speakers are hands down the best 2.1 Desktop speakers you can buy! These are honestly better than a lot of 500-600 dollar systems you can buy from other "brands" ..if you are contemplating buying these, stop right now and go get them, you will be extremely happy with your decision! I was absolutely blown away by these things when I got them all setup! One thing though, I do have the original version without the Bluetooth, which I actually prefer! I have read and seen alot of people reporting problems with the blue tooth version! I have never had them so I dont know im just judging off what I have learned with hours of researching before finally deciding on these, they are sooooo much better than the 100 dollar set of Logitech speakers I had before! I will use these til the day they stop working, and then go buy another set of these same speakers! Absolutely recommended!

These are awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now lets start off by saying i bought the older model, some years ago, which are more powerful than the 1s currently available. I am disabled so i have an awesome gaming rig that i built in my bedroom,w/a 2k 144Hz G-Sync monitor,i wanted something to compliment my set up,and wow did these do the job, crisp clear sound, tons of bass,it gets a bit boomy if set to high, but not enough to deduct a star.Just by listening to them you can tell they are THX certified and made by Klipsch,a winning combination, easy hook up,and the longevity is awesome,i forget how long ive had them for now,but they get played at least 8 hrs a day,as i play audibles all night to help me sleep, and there have been zero issues. Some complain about the knobs going bad,TBH i seldom use them s you can control everything you need to through your computer,so you find your sweet spot and never have to touch them again. From audio books,to music,to movies,to talk shows and of course for gaming, these speakers do it all and do it very well, you know you have a good old set if they have orangeish gold Klipsch logos on them, the newer 1 do not,nor are they still THX certified, which means a lot. Overall i honestly dont think you can get a better speaker package for your computer than this, and i have tried 5 different sets, before spending 200 bucks when i finally bought them,so if youre looking, just get them and you will be very happy you did.

Sound You'll Love!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So today I went into Best Buy to purchase some Insignia Computer Speakers and I tried a bunch out. Now don't get me wrong the Insignia speakers were pretty nice but then I hit the red button and the Klipsch started playing and I couldn't believe the sound that came out of them. The sound is crystal clear and I mean clear compared to the rest of the speakers. The bass alone is insane I barely have it turned up and I can feel it shaking my legs. This is great if you love music and if you love bass well you're in luck cause this will push it. I know the price at the time of writing this was a bit high but trust me it's worth every penny. I don't normally write reviews but I had to cause this speaker system is hands down AMAZING! P.S. You'll love the sound but your neighbors won't haha. Enjoy!

Excellent Desktop Speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I stewed over whether to get an "audiophile" grade set of speakers for my computer set up. I own a pair of Audioengine 5+ speakers, which are not exactly desktop friendly if you want to use your desk for work. But, I wanted something on that level for desktop tunes. These are great. Compared them to B&W MM1s in store. Those were great too, but seriously lacked the low-end capability of the Klipsch 2.1 set. At over half the price of the MM1s, this "compromise" is a major hit and works better for me. Input options may be an issue for some, but not me. Bluetooth is great within a reasonable range; convenient for wireless streaming. They can't connect multiple sources at once, and sometimes they require me to "rewake" my laptop when disconnecting from BT to queue up properly. In my book, things are pretty good if that's my biggest problem! Very happy. Take the grills off when you buy them; noticeable improvement in imaging.

Great Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these to pair with my new Amazon Echo Dot. After setting them up and adjusting the sub-woofer volume level, I listened to several "audiophile" tracks, as well as my favorite songs, both quiet and loud. Sound quality was excellent. The mid range is a little too low, but I tend to lower mid range levels anyway, so it works well for me. The sound quality is excellent in nearly every song I tested. For the money (I paid $149), these speakers really rock at all volume levels. Some tips: 1. Don't turn the subwoofer volume level up too high, or you will get sloppy boomy bass. Keep it about 1/4 turn up. 2. If you purchase these for your Echo Dot, you'll need a 3.5mm extension for the audio cable, because the built in cable is too thick to fully fit into the Echo Dot jack. 3. If you are going to listen a very low volume levels, increase the subwoofer volume a bit.

Great value especially if no need for AV Receiver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sounding package without paying for home theater components. Bought a non-BT version for my Dad at full USD179 to replace his 15yo Labtecs a couple of years ago and very happy. Now my CAD400 Logitechs z560 (best comp speakers ever if you ask me that I were on sale for CAD199 at the time) failed after 17years of great service and I looked around and saw these in Best Buy Canada, where I am, for CAD349 which compares ok to Bose yet takes all the value away. Went on US Best Buy website and saw them for USD 99. I bought 3 sets... 2 of the sets to be used as permanent TV sound for separate TVs. Compare it to USD700+ soundbars and such and it makes it an easy choice for TV sound upgrade without paying for receiver, fronts and a powered sub which totals way more..

Yowza!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No remote control (bummer). No on/off switch (what the...?). The bluetooth can be hijacked by nearby neighbors (I'll take your word for it). The wires are dinky and hardwired into the speakers (I would have done it differently). And then you turn them on and listen and....My god! These things sound good! And then you crank them up and....Yowza! These things pack a wallop! That's what I'm talking about! And then you apply an equalizer and ...Boy these things respond like crazy to the slightest tweak! I can make them sound exactly like I want them to! Based on sound, you can't go wrong with these. Just be sure to price check for a while before purchasing because over time the price seems to jump around all over the place.

The sound is awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will warn you straightforwardly that the sound knob is malfunctioning because when the sound is turned all the way down, you still hear sound and it's pretty loud. Notwithstanding that malfunction, I am still compelled to give these speakers 5 stars because after comparing the sound quality to several other models of speakers designed for a computer, this was literally 3 times better. The sound is crystal clear and BOOMS! Perfect for both gaming and music. The sound quality and power of these babies is truly breathtaking by computer speaker standards. Definitely buy these. It's worth even if the knob doesn't work.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing I noticed was how heavy the sub was - It has incredible casing! I plugged these in and was immediately blown away!! To be fair, I am upgrading from a $39 set of Logitechs...but I swear these things sound as good as my B&W 683 floor speakers! For $150 I'll probably get another set for the garage gym and just plug my phone in! I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with these speakers.

Amazing Computer Speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked these speakers up when they were on sale for $99.99 and it was probably one of the best speaker purchases I've made. The have exceptionally clear mids and highs with deep powerful bass. They have a lot of power so they can get very loud without any distortion or loss in quality. Even if I didn't pick them up on sale, I'd still love and recommend them.

Shockingly good for computer speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on a good sale after seeing so many good reviews. The subwoofer, though small, makes a HUGE difference in sound quality. You're sitting right near it, so you get a similar effect to a much larger stereo if played across the room. Now, is it audiophile quality? No. It will lack resolution compared to a true hifi system. But the imaging and soundstage are fantastic. I found the best placement was to spread the satellite speakers approximately 4 feet apart, each raised up 10 to 12 inches from the surface of the desktop, and pointed at a spot just BEHIND my head. With this setup, the sound will seem to be coming from a wide imaginary soundstage, but still preserve the "imaging" that makes voices and instruments seem to be coming from clearly defined places within that soundstage. If you point the speakers directly at your ears, you'll get a harshness to the sound. If you point them too much inward, you don't get the illusion of your sound coming from a wide area. If you point them straight out, you mess with the stereo imaging (voices and instruments don't come from a defined space as well as they do with my recommended placement.)
