I am very serious about my sound and this system delivers. The overall sound package is very expansive and accurate, even given the tiled room and not so ideal placement at the moment. I hear all of the details I can hear with good headphones and a pretty close to spot on frequency response with super clean volume- the kind of clean where I don't realize how loud it is until I step out of the room for something. As for pretty close to spot on frequency response, I'm extremely picky about sound and right out of the box, running any source flat with zero EQ, (which I wholeheartedly recommend first) I have been completely content and wowed. And the low end is just killer. Thick, full, yet tight, and I have yet to even have it beyond 8 to 9 o'clock, never mind the 10 o'clock sweet spot they have marked. I do have the sub on the floor and against the wall, as it should be, and almost directly below the satellites. Having the sub in a corner to get the most of the low end response is not even necessary. The lows are that deep. No artificial low end boost needed via EQ at all. They're most certainly not hollow and just boomy- very clean and enjoyable bass TONES, not just thump and bump. If you have thin walls, prepare to be nagged!! The actual volume is hard to predict as with my roomates I have not had the need, or the ability, to have it past 10 o'clock thus far. The couple times it was even that far, the whole house could clearly hear what I had playing. As for music, which is all I've done with them so far, I listen to everything from old Van Halen, to Kieko Matsui, to Bjork, to Pantera, and everything flys perfectly.. For THE MONEY, the only thing close I saw was Logit**c and sorry, they'll just never come close. Hey, If I'm wrong, along with many others it seems, so you have to make a trip back to either spend way more unnecessarily, or end up with far less sound quality. Happy Listening..

These speakers are simply great. My husband bought them for his own computer last year, and now we can watch Netflixwith clear sound, listen to music on iTunes with amazing fidelity and vary the volume as needed. So I just bought another set for my mom. Easy to install, compact and priced FAR below the famous brand but with the same fine quality.

I actually use this with my home recording studio. Very nicely balanced music reproduction. The unit is compact but really delivers. Nice smooth and true bass reproduction. Well worth the price. You could spend a lot more and not find very much improvement over this unit. Klipsch is well known for quality speakers and these are no exception.

Generally speaking I am very pleased with this purchase although I had to return the first speaker system because of a loose DIN connector. The replacement speaker system works perfectly and I'm very pleased with the sound. It's well balanced and a little on the bright side which is how I like my music. That being said, the low end is strong enough to rattle your windows if that's what you want to do. I don't think I could get anything better sounding than the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 without spending a lot more money. For my purposes they're ideal. Speakers are very subjective and you really should listen to them if possible before buying. However, Best Buy has an excellent return policy and I'm sure you would be able to return the speakers if you were unhappy with them. As for me, I'm happy with the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system.

I really LOVE these speakers,I am very happy with the Klipsch Promedia 2.1. I read as many reviews as I could before purchasing, considering the GMX A-2.1 among others. And I'm happy I did! These speakers have a fuller sound, and are louder than any stereo speakers I've owned.I really had Klipsch in mind because of their track record and the raving reviews. They are breathtakingly good speakers for the money. The only one complains is that they don't have power off switch, I didn't like that the pretty little light on the left speaker was glowing all night and all day even when I wasn't listening, and so I turned off the speaker every night and every day when I went out. When I turned the speakers back on there was that friendly noise that let me know the speakers were on. However, that little noise, not too loud and somewhere in the lower middle register, is the lowest frequency the satellites can handle before the sub kicks in. All in all, though, these are very good speakers and these are relatively small complaints. I would highly recommend these to anybody.

Wonderful System ... my Second Purchase

This is my second purchase of the exact same Klipsch system. I used the first system for 7-8 years until it developed a short in the system and one speaker kept cutting in and out. I have dealt with audio electronics for 40 years and this Klipsch is, in my opinion, an outstanding system for the price. I collect jazz and use this with my iMac computer and it has a great overall sound that compares with Bose and other higher priced sound systems. I have a pair of quite expensive floor standing Paradigm speakers driven by a high end Onkyo receiver sitting right next to these Klipsch speakers and I frequently leave them off in favor of the Klipsch system. It has marvelous sound for the price, and setup is quite simple and easy. I can recommend this Klipsch system without any reservation. I would buy them again for a third time. I have Klipsch all over my house, including my home theater system, and Klipsch makes excellent, long lasting, great sounding speakers. You cannot go wrong with this system!

Listening to this System side by side to the other options at Best Buy was an easy choice. I wasnt familiar with the brand name but there is no substitute for power and they are very solid/heavy built quality. I wasnt planning on spending the extra money and im kinda of a cheap B..... but I forked up the money after listening to them. Im a photographer and i have to edit quite a few pictures and when my Logitech speakers just stopped working (after 3 years) I was just going to replace them with another exact set but after hearing the difference even compared to 5 speaker systems these fill the room better. 2 complaints and i think its a big one is that there is not wall mounting hardware and there is not easy way of mounting the two speakers. 2nd is the wiring on one end is a plug and the other are screw tighten loose ended wires. why not have the same connection on each end? either both plugs or both loose so i could replace them with other speaker wire if i needed the extra length. the Sub is almost twice the size as my old one but it sits on the ground. the only thing that would compare to these would be a home stereo unit, something not specifically made for computers.

I purchased this system to have have some tunes at work that can be heard over power tools. I installed it on a rack that I built to house the speaker system, power strip, and tool battery chargers. It works well for my intended purpose, Although I 'm generally using it doing commercial construction in indoor environments, the system also works well hanging out on the porch swing having a cold one.. My only complaint is I would like for it to have it's own power switch for the speaker system.

Wow, high-fidelity sound! The 2-way desktop speakers produce crisp highs and good midrange while the subwoofer delivers deep effortless bass. The separate subwoofer volume control on the desktop speaker is useful. The system puts out plenty of volume. The only negatives in my opinion are no power switch and the subwoofer still produces some bass when turned down to the lowest level. However, those are minor things and overall I'm very happy I chose this speaker system.

This system works great with my Envy 23 all-in-one with Beats Audio. The highs and midrange is great with good solid bass. The volume is only a third way up with good solid sound and sounds almost as good as my home system. After I had broke in the speakers with a few days use, the system sounds is even better. Please note, doesn't have an on/off switch, so I gave it a four star rating.

Overall sound is good, but not as good as Bose would be. Has very good bass, almost to much. But you can control the bass with the subwoofer control nob. At this price point this is as good as it gets, way better quality sound then anything at this price point. Also the power these have is very good. They will go louder then you would ever need them to go indoors for sure.

Speakers have a an excellent large speaker sound. Subwoofer can rattle walls if needed while highs are clear but not over powering. Speakers can be balanced well for your listening or the whole office to enjoy. Definitely worth the price.

To begin with some context. Prior to purchasing this product I tried 1) a pair of sonos play 1 -- really good depth and range of sound but limited by the ability to stream bluetooth resulting in being restricted to whatever choices the sonos app provides, youtube not an option!! -- bass while ok not quite satisfactory given how expensive they were and given that fairly inexpensive subwoofers put out such great bass 2) Amazon Echo -- just terrible tinny sound with no depth or bass at all. The Alexa engine of course, fantastic! And I of course own a proper 7.1 speaker system so I know how far the quality can go with the price point. But I wanted an inexpensive yet good sounding solution that wasn't too much bigger than a stereo pair. Then I found these.... perfect price and perfect sound quality, depth, range (treble, mid and bass), volume level for my 150 sq ft lounge room. My use case... -- A stereo pair with decent bass for my lounge room was my use case. -- any guest able to stream their choice of music, wired or bluetoooth -- in the $100-$200 price range And these work perfectly! Setup is very simple... 10 minutes if that. Just connecting wires and plugging into an outlet. Just hook up any phone directly to the master speaker through RCA or mini. I added a logitech bluetooth adpater and voila bluetooth and any of my guests over can stream, if they didn't want the hassle of the wired connection. So wired or wireless, both are options with my setup. The speakers themselves are very loud. I don't have to go more than 1/3 of volume level. Bass is very very good for the price point. Again set of 1/3 of possible bass level. So overall this is the best solution I have found after trying a few different ones from cheap to very expensive. Love it. Highly recommend.

I was needing to replace my PC speakers. After reading numerous reviews and looking at multiple products, I couldn't help but look harder into these speakers. I agree with all of the other positive reviews, these speakers sound great! The available sounds level is crazy! I have yet to test the limit. The audio quality is much, much better than I expected. I have numerous Bose products but I am very glad I looked into these Klipsch speakers!

I have had a set of these for 5 years and just picked up a second set for another PC. The sound for Audio is great. The subwoofer provides a ton of bass. The mids and highs are clear. The power is way more than you will need and their is no noticeable distortion unless you have a poor quality audio track that is already distorted. The speakers do not seem to have any shielding issue and the quality is good. EQ requires a little balancing in the media player on my PC to bring out the highs, but I have no complaints about that. The one negative is that they sent some rubber stick on feet with the speakers that the purchaser has to put on themselves. As you peel the feet off the packing, the glue pulled off and stayed on the packing (paper?) instead of the rubber foot - so now there is no glue to stick them to the speakers. Easy enough to fix with gorilla glue, but not ideal.

It's a Klipsh. That should be enough said for anyone. I have been familiar with Klipsch speakers since the 1950s. Their response has always been superb throughout the audible range. No speaker is distortion free, but this comes close. This is the second speaker in this line I have owned. I cannot run the volume up all the way, because the bass rattles the dishes and windows. If one likes pipe organs, basso profundo opera singers, or any double bass instrument, Klipsh has always been my first choice for a true reproduction of the original sound. This speaker system is not a Klipschorn by any means, but is a great little brother to it.

I first purchased the Bose companion speakers for my computer and was not at all impressed. So I returned them. When I bought the Bose the demo of the Klipsch wasn't working. The next time I went to Best Buy the demo was working and I was sold. But of course they were out of stock. So I went home and went on line and found a open box special at a great price. These speakers are awesome! Not just for the computer, but for music, movies and TV.They have replaced my surround sound system. I have a workshop in my basement and will be getting another set for the shop. You will not be sorry if you buy these.

I have owned a number of desktop speaker systems through the years, including several Klipsh Promedia 2.1 systems. I have never heard any that I liked better than these. I have heard Bose that I thought were comparable sounding, but for much more money. The Promedia 2.1 are great for music and movies on the computer. I won't go in to describing the sound much because you really have to hear them, but the subwoofer delivers nicely, and the desktop speakers are crisp where most others seem a bit weak or thin sounding. These may cost a bit more than Logitech and the like and they may not be quite as good as some higher end brands, but the Klipsch Promedia 2.1s are the only speakers that are high enough quality that I would listen to AND reasonable enough on price that I would buy. I took a star because I have had at least four of these units die on me in the past. I expect they've all lasted 2-4 years, but either the amp or the controlling satellite speaker goes out. Maybe I should start buying the protection plan, but I keep hoping quality issues will be better every time I buy one. I have bought cheaper systems only to regret not having the superior sound of these though, despite their longevity issues. I have found Best Buy to have the best prices on them and always find myself coming back to these speakers, despite their flaws.
