I have bought these for my girlfriend and her sister separately, on top of having a friend pick out a pair of these. These speakers are some of the best hands-down on the market. Forget Bose, forget all the other brands. Klipsch keeps it simple and doesn't waste money on advertising, they make great speakers that cannot be beat. Only downside is that these speakers/sub woofer only have a male audio out, so they can be difficult to try to adapt to a tv/home audio set up even though they would be perfect. (although it can be done with a converter) Crisp, clean, great bass. Manual subwoofer adjustment on the main speaker to turn down the bass when the neighbors come knocking.

The sound is amazing from these speakers, the bass is unbelievable. These speakers are well worth the money and surprised they don't cost more.

Being an owner of theolder ProMedia 4.1 and 5.1 Ultra THX systems, I can POSITIVELY say that this 2.1 system DOES NOT dissapoint! Same great Klipsch sound quality and volume you'd expect from a brand like Klipsch. For looks and sound, satellites are virtually identical to the ones you get with the 4.1 system, with the control pod on the bottom of one of them to adjust volume and bass, and the headphone jack on the side of the pod. The subwoofer is considerably smaller than the one offered with the ProMedia 4.1 system however, I was pleasantly surprised by the output of it. At high volumes, It's output is lower than the 4.1's due to the smaller, single driver design, but don't let the size fool you, this sub is more than enough for any small to mid-sized room, and WILL rattle the windows AND shake the walls! As a proud owner of the entire Klipsch ProMedia line (with the exception of the GMX series), i can say that the 2.1 system does not disappoint. It will smash ALL OTHER speaker systems in it's price-point, and provides the best bang-for-the-buck! The only other system on the market that can compete with the ProMedia 2.1 system is the Bose Companion 2.1 however, you will pay approx 2-3 times more for them.

This is the set of these speakers I've owned. The first set failed after about five years. They were good enough for me to go out and purchase the second set. The sound from these are more than good enough for listening with the iMac I have. The sound seems to come alive from the YouTube videos. The noise I'm making with Garage Band sounds so good I might learn how really use that program. The subwoofer adds real depth to the music. Of course these are not floor standing towers but they are awesome for the money.

These are about the best 2.1 setup your going to find for your computer. There pretty great, easy install there crisp and clear they get quite loud and the subwoofer is awesome. I popped in The Empire Strikes Back to try them out and I could almost feel the force choke, heh anyways they do take up some space make sure you have room under your desk for the subwoofer, their all wired so your a little limited in placement. Also I didn't, but it might be a good idea to get the warranty, I did a little research and some people have had issues with the left speaker going out on the 2015 version of these.

Tweak the media player equalizer for great sound

    Posted .

The ProMedia 2.1s really are great sounding once you spend some time adjusting the media player graphic equalizer (see attached photo of my settings). Straight out of the box, the sound seemed noticeably flat and quite ordinary until I found the right equalizer settings for my aged ears. I suspect those reviewers that found the sound quality poor either didn't or couldn't adjust their player for optimal sound quality or should be spending more cash to suit their high expectations. Sure, you can find better sound for two or three times the price but for a computer or mp3 player? Set up was easy but, just as with any other amp and speaker setup, pay attention that the red striped wires go into the red retainers and the black into black - it's a polarity thing. I can't speak for the system durability as I have only played about 50 songs through it. The only negative is that there is no power switch necessitating the use of a power strip to turn off the AC power to the subwoofer. That aside, I am pleased with my purchase.

At first I thought this was a little pricey, but after hearing the sound... No way. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I bought it to have a good sound when watching movies, after hooking it up I not only use it for that but now I use it to blast music. It has the perfect balance of sound and AWESOME bass. It sounds almost as good as my $1000+ car sound system. I would absolutely buy this again in a heartbeat.

The Klipsch Pro Media speakers are solid sounding speakers. The bass from the sub actually vibrates the floor and they deliver clear crisp sound even at higher volume levels and they get pretty loud for such small speakers. They're great for watching movies on a computer or tablet and they really rock when listening to music from my phone or streaming from iTunes! Would definitely recommend!

I was a little bit concerned about buying these speakers since it was a brand name that I haven't heard of before. I am used to buying Bose or Logitech products. I bought Klipsch and I must say I am really impressed. I also normally don't do reviews of products but when I tried these speakers, I am completely satisfied and amazed at the sound quality especially the subwoofer for deep rich bass sound. I would recommend this product to family and friends and would definitely buy this brand again!!!

Compared to my old Logitech speakers that I've had for a few years this system completely blows them away. They are so crisp and clear it makes every song you've listened to seem new again. They're LOUD though so this isn't for a shared space unless that person doesn't mind listening to your music with you. Even the most minimal volume where you can clearly hear from both speakers is a bit loud.

I had these little dinky speakers on my computer but decided to upgrade so I could listen to more music. What a difference these Klipsch speakers and woofer have made. The bass is phenomenal, and I can pump up the volume to listen while relaxing on my back porch. I'm very happy with the new sound, and the price was great, too.

Klipsch makes some of the best speakers availiable and the promedia 2.1 computer speakers sound great even playing mp3 music through them. They have good fidelity and plenty of bass and volume. Noticed some lack of midrange response but this could be because of listening to mp3 songs. They sound better then my logitech 5.1 surround sound computer speakers and the logitech speakers are good sounding speakers. Overall i would rate the klipsch 2.1 promedia speakers a solid 8 to 9 out of 10.

I have owned a bunch of different computer speaker brands and models ranging from Logitech to Bose and these are by far the best combination of bass and sound that I have heard. I listen to a full range of music as well at work from EDM to country to hip hop to pop, these speakers satisfy any audiophile's sound needs.

I did plenty of online research before actually stopping into my local Best Buy to hear this system in the store. Didn't take long for that box of Klipsch's(?) to hit checkout. So EZ to set up! I think it took longer to get everything out of the box/packing than get it all hooked up to my iMac. Holy falling plaster! Unbelievable sound from 3 speakers!!! Almost puts my home theater system to shame. Amazing wall-shaking sub & the satellites carry the rest of the load perfectly. I am very happy with the quality of this balanced system & the price easily could be twice as much. Super deal from a respected manufacturer.

There are not many really great speakers systems for computers but these are one of the best, really great, forward sounding speakers with a powerful sub. The only two caveats are you cannot turn off these completely but they do go into a "sleep" mode and I bought these to replace an existing Pro Media system where the right speaker ( the one with volume and subwoofer controls) failed within a year or so. Definitely get the replacement warranty.

This is the second time that I purchase the Klipsch - ProMedia 2.1 speaker system. If you want to watch your blu-ray movies with all their sound effect glory then this is the right pair for you. The two speakers and subwoofer are very easy to set up and don't take too much room on your desk. THX /DTS sound quality is the way to go. In addition, Klipsch was able to reduce the weight of the subwoofer without any decrease in quality.
