This pair of speakers sound is excellent to pump up all the volume without distorting the quality of sound.. there's no on/off button but when not in use will remain silent and you will not hear any humming or zzzzzz sound at all. Volume little button is on the right speaker and the subwoofer control too. speakers can be place at the sides of computer or on the wall using the grooves on the base of them. Subwoofer is a decent size:10"x10"x11" and very light to lift or move around computer desk.

easy to hook up , sound is great using onboard sound from my motherboard with no issues .

I purchase the set for my computer, for movies and for house party music. Good sound. Had crackling in the beginning but I believe it was software related. Good amount of base and volume. Not the best but definitely ideal for me for the price. Also worth noting that the aux input is hardwired from one of the two speakers so it is Not really customizable or flexible in terms of how you want them set up.

I bought this for better gaming sound, and it doesn't disappoint.
