Customers are saying
Customers are enthusiastic about the Reference 10" 300W Powered Subwoofer's exceptional sound quality and powerful bass, frequently citing its excellent performance for the price. Many also praise its compact size and ease of setup. While some users noted that the frequency response could be improved and that the volume may be too powerful for some, the overwhelmingly positive feedback points to a high-quality product.

Great bass, great value!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sub packs some excellent bass - warm and rich. The ported design gives quite a punch. I've owned mine now for 3 months and it's done very well with music, games and movies. Decent frequency response (it does hit the 20-30 hz. range but lacks a bit of the _feel_ you get with a more expensive sub). Perfect for a smaller room (20'x20' or so). It does get pretty boomy and distorted when cranked up 1/2 way or more; it only needs to be set at 1/3rd on the volume knob. It's not going to bring down the house like my old Sony dual-10" 250W-RMS sealed sub used to do but it certainly does the job very well for this price range. I'm very happy with it.

Nice entry sub,
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got during the Black Friday promotion like most. Not a bad entry sub but would ping a little too much for my liking. Exchanged it for the 12". Worth the upgrade!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this sub better than I did. May be great for gaming by a little too muddy for music.

Will not last
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound was decent while it lasted had less than three years and It crapped out on me with very minimal use. Usually I had turned off because I watch shows late at night. Now to see how their customer service is with klipsch.

Big power small package
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am slowly converting my theater system with Klipsch speakers, I really wanted to get the 12 inch but I couldn't pass up the black Friday deal I got on this one but I would have gladly paid full price on this little monster. this sub is an addition to my old Sony sub and the difference is absolutely amazing! this little thing has powerful high range bass and incredibly low bass but when it is balanced with the rest of your speakers, you neighbors have no choice but to listen to your action movies. simply amazing and powerful for only 300 watts. I may buy another one after I am done buying Christmas for everyone else. you won't be disappointed!!

boom, boom boom
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reference Series powered subwoofers shatter your expectations for deep, driving bass by playing louder and going deeper than significantly larger designs, creating the most dramatic, intense bass you've ever heard or felt. Designed from the ground up for class-leading, room-filling low-frequency performance, the RSW-10 is sonically, cosmetically and technologically matched to the Reference Series. Low-level inputs that also operate as an LFE input (for compatibility with 5.1 digital sound formats) and an adjustable low-pass crossover allow you to configure the subwoofer to your room's acoustics. The easy-to-reach, side-mounted volume control makes for simple setup and convenient level adjustments between music and movie sources. djustments between music and movie sources.

Not recommended for Large rooms
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as claims are this brand is the best of the best. I installed it, tried it, returned it the same day. My living room is 14X14 feet squared. Hard wood floors with a small throw rug. I could barely hear any bass coming from this subwoofer. The floor rattled very faintly and the subwoofer excursion was massive trying to create bass in my living room. I ended up using a temporary set of 12" MA Audio automotive subwoofers powered by 350watts rms to get some rumble in my living room while watching movies. I'd recommend this if your using it for a computer sound system, definitely not for a home theater system.

Loudness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected it to sound more powerful than it actually did. I had it set up in a 12x15 room and the speaker made more movement than actual sound production.

Watts matter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took this subwoofer back. I was first drawn in by the price but at 200w rms it just isnt worth it. Svs subs are the way to go

It has a hum when no music is playing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Distracting hum when no music is playing! Maybe their higher end "amps" don't have it but this one does!

NO SOUND
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not had the speaker long about two years . I am just now noticing i have not been hearing any bass from my sub-woofer. The reason i notice is because i turned the tv on a music channel and no bass. It powers on but i get no sound. when it works it is 5 Stars the reason for 1 Star is the length of time it worked.

Impressive, no need to look further!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first review. Not that I have not enjoyed other products very much so but because this was put to the test and won! I bought a new home with large vaulted ceilings and was having a house warming/birthday party. We had 30 people attend. I knew I needed something to pound so everyone can have a blast and dance. Not knowing, just going off reviews I made the purchase, it was shipped on time the day before the party. And it was phenomenal! You can tell by lifting it, it was quality, it is heavy and well constructed and looks professional. It was loud, precise and not only filled the house with clean bass you could feel and it could handle more! Now having it a month its incredible. It does better with movies than music only slightly but I am sure with some receiver calibrations that could improve as well. I have a Pioneer VSX-1123 , also from Best Buy which I really like as well. Check this sub out, the adjustments on the back you can really dial in quickly to the type of music or movie that is on and preference. Impressive!

Exceptional performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a Black Friday purchase, I picked this up for an incredible price, but would have no problem paying full price after seeing and hearing it. Very high-quality look, and it does a great job paired with my Martin Logan Crescendo. Very adjustable, so you can go from mild bass to booming thumps.

Not that good
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can’t turn it up at all without distortion past like 2 in the dial!!! When low bass comes around in movies you just hear distortion. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it is so annoying and just save for a better sub
