These Klipsch speakers sound very average when I stream music from my phone. Sure it's not hardwired from a direct source like a record or CD player but I expected more from Klipsch.

Salesman sold me wrong speakers (PM) for my surround system. Kept them anyway to use outside around the bonfire with my laptop.

The mid channel is missing. Center speaker is missing. As a result I do not hear the anouncers voices over the crowd noise. I think I want to try the sonos sound bar.My unit is still in the 60 day return policy.I definitely want the sound bar.Ihe klipsch speakers are good but not for me.

    Powered Klipsch Speakers Sound Amazing!!!

I purchased a pair of the R-15PM speakers from Best Buy and I have to say I am extremely pleased with the sound quality, build quality, and overall power of the speakers. I turned up the volume for Captain America: Civil War and the voices were always clear and never drowned out by explosions or gunshots (which also sound great by the way). They are very easy to set up as well; just run the included speaker wire through the red and black screws on the back, plug in the power cord, plug in an optical cable to your tv and you are good to go!

    Not a Good Speaker

I tried hooking it up instead of a sound bar. It sounded terrible and the sound didn't match the lips moving, so everything looks like old Kung Fu Theater, On top of that, you have to have the remote to set up most of the features and the open box didn't have a remote.

    Exceeded my expectations

I have owned many Klipsch speakers, including the r-15m passive speakers for $249 which I thought were essentially the same sounding speakers as these but non powered. I was a bit disappointed with the passive version r-15m as they didn't have the crystal clear highs and open midrange I was used to with klipsch. I recently sold my Klipsch RP-260f's in the effort to simplify and downsize my system and chose to buy these r15-pm hoping they would sound better than the passive version I had once before. When I hooked them up and gave them a listen, initially I wasn't impressed, they sounded boxy and muffled. I gave them the day of mid level volume of continuous playback to break them in and they opened up. They now sound miles ahead of the passive version. I have a paradigm subwoofer hooked up and they sound great. I am really amazed that they sound so clear and play so loud without strain. I think a subwoofer is a must to fill out the bottom end. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a simple high quality stereo sound for the modern age or even classics on vinyl. My only complaint would be the remote. It is small and cramped. An option to buy a higher quality one should be in the works.

These "open box - excellent" speakers have a power issue. They turn off after 10 minutes. I was happy with the sound, but had to return them. If you only listen to 1.5 songs at a time they are perfect for you! Whoever checks these must not test them long enough to notice the problem.

These speakers produced a loud whine when I used them with my Pro-Ject turntable. I tried different ground wires, but to no avail. Hard to listen to music when there is a high pitch frequency ringing going on all them time. Full refund.

These speakers with the R-10SW are the standard for desktop speakers. After opening the initial packaging and plugging in the brand new Klipsch speakers, I was amazed by the sound quality. I love to listen to every kind of genre. But today, I had to fire up Apple Music and play some meditation tunes. The bass and mids orchestrate perfectly together. I recommend these speakers for true gamers with a love of good sound quality.

Great sound - Persistent Power Issues

    Posted .

TL;DR - I love the sound, but initially had issues. I got these speakers (open box) roughly three weeks ago, right out of the box I experienced power issues, they would turn on, but turn off mid-signal. Around the three week mark, they lost the ability to power on at all, though the remote battery was in solid condition and a signal was being sent over USB (which lost connection when these died). Being the technical user I am, I did what I had dreaded doing, taking the amplifier console out of the right speaker - and splicing the wiring to force it into a passive configuration. I would not recommend attempting this unless you are knowledgeable of what you are working with. Regardless, they both function as passive speakers at this point (connected to a Sony STR-DH550 Receiver) and do, in fact sound just as clear over an analog signal from a sound card in my computer. My recommendation is to do one of two things based on this input, you could buy these new, or (preferably, for me) buy the equivalent passive speaker set from Klipsch.

    Great Sound and very Versatile

I bought these speakers about a year ago. They sound great. I was using an old Sony 400W stereo previously. That stereo is louder, but muddier. These Klipsch speakers are Crystal Clear. I am not kidding, when playing Jazz it sounds like I have a band in the living room. They sound best with my AT-lp120 turntable. I use an external preamp wich to my ears sounds a little better tha the Klipsch. built in preamp. I also listen to Sirius XM over the blue tooth. Sounds better than CDs. These speakers have adequate bass response, but about 6 months ago I purchased a Klipsch 10 inch blue tooth subwoofer. I set it at 80hz crossover. It rounds the sound out nicely. Not overly dramatic, but it gives even more of a live sound. You can rattle the walls with the subwoofer, but that is not what I prefer. This is my main stereo now. My Sony still gets use when I workout in the basement, but I prefer the Klipsch for more serious listening.

Awesome speakers BUT you must have/get a subwoofer

I wanted something with quality sound that was compact, would connect optically from my TV and via bluetooth from my phone, with out buying a separate reciever/amp. This seemed like the perfect set up. I listened to them in the store with and without a sub and was underwhelmed to say the least. Seemed way to bright without the sub, and way too muddy with. Decided to buy them and take them home to check them out. Coupled them to the best sub I ever owned musically, a yst-sw100. Fantastic. Without a quality sub they are blah, too harsh, and bright for my ears. With the sub in the store they were a combination of too bright and too much boom. But in my home with a musical (tight, not boomy) subwoofer, they are perfect. Buy them, but only if you have a good subwoofer or are willing to buy one, otherwise look elsewhere.

    Good speakers

I bought a new pair of these when they were on sale for 350. I listened to them in the store thought they sounded pretty good did a bunch of research on all speakers just to make sure there wasn't a cheaper price for these things and there's not unless you go dent and scratch. Easy to hook up. Sounded great for the tv ran into a problem when I use roku I lost sound and I found out you had to change the sound settings with the roku to stereo after that had sound again. The first movie I watched was 300 and I was impressed. Normally I buy something expense and usually feel bad about spending so much but not this time. I am adding a powered sub for more bass because after all they are kinda small speakers. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

    Unbiased review- a solid "meh"

Lots of people like to justify their purchase, so of course their choices are always glowing. Likewise, anyone who can't figure out how to use it will proclaim it "junk." That being said- I'm no Klipsch fan aside from their fantastic hand-made high end and vintage speakers. Their new lower end "consumer" level stuff is cranked out in mass quantities in some contracted Chinese factory. To be clear- so are most others in this range, but not all. First off, these have a phono pre-amp which makes them extremely useful now that turntables have made a faddish comeback. Pretty much the reason I tried them. The sound is kind of what I expected from this level of Klipsch- harsh highs, inaccurate representation of the source material. Admittedly, after some serious 'break in' time it got better- slightly. They still have an overly tinny high end and hollow midrange. There are many other choices in a speaker this size that will provide smooth, powerful sound without being fatiguing to listen to. Do NOT mistake these for a near-field monitor... not even close. For near-field use such as computer speakers, audio or video editing etc these would be a terrible choice when manufacturers such as PreSonus make FAR superior sounding speakers for the same or less. I imagine these are aimed at people who want a fancy look, a brand name that is recognized and "real" sound quality is not a priority. These NAIL that application perfectly, and will a great variety of inputs. Looking for sound quality- run away. Looking for aesthetics and a little brand name recognition, these should do. I was planning to return them immediately, but after breaking them in they went from sounding terrible to a solid "meh." At their price, that's not good enough.

    Perfect PC Speakers

I paired these speakers with the 10" Klipsch subwoofer and could not be happier. They sound amazing! I wouldn't recommend them as monitor speakers, but for listening they are wonderful. The speakers include a USB port and show up as a generic audio device (using the USB prevents the speakers from automatically shutting off).

Sound quality does not justify the price.

I can not recommend them. The sound is very muffled in direct comparison to other Klipsch speakers. They struggle to produce the sound correctly at even medium volume. The varied inputs: USB, optical, RCA, Bluetooth; with amplifier and external sub-out are a decent value-add but really, the speakers are just not good enough to justify these costing more than $200, let alone the $500 MSRP. If it weren't for the free turntable included as part of a promotion I would never have considered these and I kind of still feel ripped off.

    Klipsch doesn't provide any support

I'm trying to figure out how to turn OFF the auto power turn off 'feature' but no one knows 1) if you can and 2) if you can, how to do it. I've tried multiple times at Bestbuy: no one knows. I've tried to email and call Klipsch and they simply don't answer the phone. I was in a 'loop' for over 30 minutes waiting for product support with 'only one person ahead of me'.. over and over and over. So, great speakers, but, I can't get a simple question answered so: 1 star. If you want support, forget it. I'm trying to use these with an Amazon echo dot and they keep turning off when I stop the music, and require a 3 step process to turn them back on again (pretty much negating the echo usefulness). I'll be returning these if I don't get an answer soon.
