Outstanding sound

I know what you're supposed to do is go to the store and audition them first, but nobody got time for that! When I took the speakers out of the box, I was like "woah, these speakers are huge." I had so-called tower speakers from an Onkyo theater in a box setup. Oh my gosh. The Onkyo tower speakers were like a third of the size of these Klipsch speakers. I connected the speakers using 16 gauge speaker wire (klipsch recommends 12 to 16 gauge) and fired up a tune from my iPod. Wow! Very powerful sound. No comparison at all to the "theater in a box" speakers. My living room is not big, maybe 700 square feet. But I think the sound from these speakers would fill even a 2,000 square foot room nicely. The bass coming out of these speakers is impressive. I have a subwoofer and thought that the deep bass must've been coming from my subwoofer, but I was wrong. The bass was coming from the R28Fs. If you go on forums and read up on what people say about these speakers, I think they're either on drugs or just crazy. You'll read things like "the R28Fs are not very good" or "for the same money, you can get way better speakers," etc etc etc. What are they talking about? How can anyone complain about these speakers? What do people want? People just feel a need to be negative I guess. Shoot, I put on Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean" pretty loud with these R28Fs and I started doing the Billy Jean dance from his video. With the blinds closed of course. It looks like these speakers go on sale for two hundred twenty-five dollars at least every black Friday, so if you can wait for that, you'll get a great deal.

Certainly could spend more on speakers, but for mid-level tower speakers can't go wrong. Can't wait to buy the subwoofer to complete the set.
