The subwoofer sounded punchy at first; then I changed the location and the sound blended better. I think there are a little less expensive options out there that would provide similar sound.

Very nice - only complaint is the placement of the controls. On the back of speaker which makes mounting the speaker questionable.

With 300 watts power, this 10 inch subwoofer is not only gorgeous with it's copper color, it will shake the floors. I do live in an apartment so I have to be a bit careful but thankfully, there are very accurate gain control and low pass dials to tune it to perfection. Phase switch on the back just in case your front speaker's output isn't matching. I think it's best to try in either position to get the best bass. If it sounds good, it is good :) Highly recommend this one.

Works great for movies but could thump a little harder for audio. I probably should have gotten the 12 inch.

My family and I love good audio systems. We love having a great home theater system and adding these to them was a good decision. I have used these for music (from Beethoven to Drake), gaming (Overwatch), and movies. These sound awesome and add good clean, tight bass. I was honestly concerned that 10" would be too small for my home theater, but these can still fill the room! Now it definitely doesn't have the OOMPH of a 12" or 15" but man I was blown away by how open they sound. I think they work well with any system. I do think that the 10" puts out a cleaner bass compared to the 12" so you have to weigh the pros and cons of having more of that sweet OOMPH or having tighter bass. If you live in an apartment or other living situation then definitely these are as high as I would go. I would definitely go in and try to listen and compare the choices if you have the chance because they're obviously not for everyone. They look beautiful. I don't even put the grills on them because man they look great. They have that modern feel and definitely makes my setup look elegant. So these are not quite as powerful as the older brother R120SW with the 12 inch. If you really want more explosive sound, you really can't go wrong with the the R120SW. However, these are still very good and produce excellent sound. All in all, I think these are a great addition to any home theater/audio system.

This thing was so bad i took it back the day after i got it its very boomy and has lots of distortion if your on a tight budget than this could work but imo its not worth the money. Also i had to wait like an hour for it to have power i dont know if the amp was damaged or what

BIG sound from a small enclosure

    Posted .

I had wavered between at 10in and 12in but the 10 because it went on sale. This subwoofer puts out so much more sound than I expected. The enclosure is the same size as my Klipsch SWV 8in sub that it replaced, but there is no comparison. After a few days of fine tuning (placement, crossover, levels etc.) I am now VERY satisfied with the sound I'm getting. As for power... I could feel the rumble while showering in the back bath when my son was watching his Spider Man show in the living room. The house is 2100sq ft, and the sub is set at 40% level!

When we turn off the TV and our Surround system the subwoofer just buzzes all night. Apparently it is a huge issue with this speaker. I wish I would have noticed it earlier but we are rarely at our vacation home. DO NOT BUY! (I'm past my returning time.)
