Humms when nothing is connected to it straight out of the box. Junk do not buy

Bought 2 of these subs one of them just stop working have had them for a little over a year hopefully best buy will work with me on getting another or repair this one stay tuned for next review

The port noise and boomy sound is bothersome. But it was half price and was well worth $250 but full price never. Just don’t turn it up too loud. Best for movies awful for music.

I waited almost 6 years to write this review, this sub. is perfect for my needs. The sound quality is excellent especially for the cost of it. In addition, the build quality is exceptional. Klipsch is one of those brands that you know you can trust. Along with the full sound and the solid feel of it, it goes well with the color scheme that my wife picked out for my " man cave " haha. I have the 7000 series Bowers and Wilkins and this 15" sub not only saved me money, the deep crisp sound is awesome. Even if your not an audio nut like me, you'll absolutely appreciate the sound and feel of this sub. Go into your Best Buy and have a listen, I promise you'll be amazed.

You will not find a better, harder hitting, DEEEEEEEEEEEPer, low frequency hitting, sub under 1000 bucks than this one. This thing is absolutely amazeballs. My Dennon is a 9.2 and there is no way I could handle 2 of these in this room, and its a big room, but it would be too much. This is my first Klipsch 12 and for the money I spent, compared to what I got. This is one of the best buys at Best Buy. I have SVS Speakers, and other 700 dollar bookshelves and crazy prices for Center Channels. This Klipsch is unbeatable at this price point...Try all you want, but YOu will not find another under 1000-500 dollars that comes even close to this thing

After hooking everything up and double checking so, I could not get the sub to kick on when a movie was playing. I double checked all connections and even tried some trouble shooting solutions I found from some forums. Hooking up a sub isn’t that hard and I have had a surround sound system for 20 plus years. I just couldn’t get it to kick on no matter the volume levels. Also the sub was black? I thought it was supposed to be copper looking! I tried to look up this as well even though the color of the cone isn’t important.

If you like constant vibration this is for you. Nothing “tight” about this subwoofer at all. Sounds just blend together as one.

the good: -tons of power -certainly enough low end -puts tons of boom in a home theater the bad: -crossover tuning is needed to prevent a super muddy response. even with this, i still don’t think it competes with the likes of subs like SVS. -because it can sound just a bit loose, it may not be the best sub for music, depending on the genre. misc: -copper woofer, some will like it and some won’t. i keep the grill on pesonally, so it makes no difference to me. overall: when i first connected this sub and fired it up, i was very unimpressed. however, as it was broken in over the next few days, it became significantly less “boomy” and much more enjoyable to have as part of my system…with the right crossover point set. have the crossover set too high and it can muddy up the low end in my opinion, and the margin for error on this sub is relatively small. i am personally a big fan of Klipsch speakers…i love their mids and their tweeters are spectacular in their price range, but their subs are not quite up to par with the rest of their lineup in my opinion. that being said, if you want bang for your buck (literally?) and this sub is going in your home theater, it’s not a bad way to go for the price. for me it’s probably closer to 3.5 stars than 3, but 4 stars feels like too much.

I am so disappointed with this purchase. I bought excitedly after seeing it on sale. Take it home, plug her in, and she's defective. Brought her back, and exchanged for another one that was even worse. Doesn't even turn on. I really expected better

The only thing good I can say about this sub is that it looks nice ... the sound is awful! Lots of air noise and it bottoms out right away . Don’t waist your money .. you get what you pay for !

No low-end bass capacity, and couldn’t handle what I need it for. I’d never buy this brand, Polk Audio, Sony, etc. I’m sticking to higher end brands for sure.

wouldn't honor discounted price 21 days later and hid behind 15 days. Never buy from them again, stick to Costco.

I purchased this about 3-4 years ago, and has been one of my best purchases so far. Very happy on how excellent this bass sounds especially for movies. I would definitely recommend this subwoofer to anybody that was on the fence about buying it. WRTH THE MONEY!!

Not enough bass to go with the music. Will probably return it to buy a different one.

We were due for an upgrade for our sub. This was on sale and after reading other reviews, decided it would be a good replacement for our old sub. Easy set up, run one cable and plug in the power. We followed recommended settings and dialed it in from there. Took about 20 min to blend it in with our system. It’s BIG and makes a LOT of sub base. If you live in an apartment your neighbors will probably hate movie night! You can adjust easily for more or less bass though , so you don’t have to have it pounding, or flip the toggle to turn it off if desired. Good quality, great sound and a good price on sale equals a good deal. It will probably be many years before we need to upgrade again, if ever.

Forget this 12” Speaker if you are after deep Bass! Save your money and purchase their 15” Klipsch!

Absolutely amazing! Clear bass boom! That’s only turned 1/4 of the way. Can adjust if too much. Replaced my Polk that fried out after 6 years. Bought this on a 1/2 off sale. Well worth at full price! Highly recommended. Wish I would’ve bought this first! So clear! So much punch!
