Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the exceptional sound quality, particularly the impressive bass response, of the Reference Series Dual 8" speakers. Many also praise the speakers' power handling capabilities and value for the price. However, some customers note that the speakers are large and heavy, and a few have expressed concerns about the durability of the feet. Overall, the positive feedback on sound quality outweighs the negative comments regarding size and weight.

Good for a mid-range plus.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish it also had a mid-range, but for this price Klipsch would not include a mid-range.

Beasts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got a pair of these for our game room/building & for setting out on the deck overlooking the pool area & river we live on. They’re connected to a new no frills 100w Sony receiver that I connect my music library and playlists to via Bluetooth. They blast & they do so effortlessly for as long as they need to do so. The receiver will never get anywhere close to causing these speakers to distort even at max volume all day/night/& into the next day :) They’re quite a bit larger & heavier than what they replaced and so I use a small dolly to roll them out onto the deck from the game room. I’ve not put the plastic feet that came with them on the speakers & doubt I do. Honestly they seem under-designed and destined to break to me. I use a rubber mat under the speakers which protects the finish while they’re on the deck, in the game room or being moved around. Oh yeah, they sound super great too. Buy them as I did when they’re on sale for 50% off their regular price and you’ll be very pleased with yourself. It’s sorta like buy one get one free when you do it that way. I’ve listened to them now for a few weeks at all volume levels with a very critical ear and can find no deficiency, nothing to complain about whatsoever. 5 stars PLUS without question. Happy with my choice.

Unreal!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers are seriously insane! I have a Denon AVR-S940H powering these with a Sonus Faber Center. It's incredible! Just WOW! These speakers are super hungry for power so throw as much as you can at them. I have a 300 watt Martin Logan Sub as well in this setup but I am contemplating returning it. These speakers throw a super tight bass note. I never knew you could create that much bass from a floor speaker. Just wow! Overall...... I would tell everyone to buy these speakers without doubt. A+++++ Klipsch

Second class
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 of these beasts to replace my Sony SSCS3. Thought they would thump harder and sound clearer...was wrong. The sound and bass from the Sony’s seem superior to these. I wanted to like them...I really did. But took them back. On top of it one of the horns stopped working. Glad I did. Now the 12” subs...get those!

First impression of Klipsch is “WOW”
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have upgraded my system piece by piece as I could afford it and have gone from Infinity Speakers to Bose to Definitive Technology to now Klipsch. The Bose were a massive disappointment, the Def Techs are bookshelf speakers and are very good for their size but don’t compare to the 820 towers, the Infinity towers had nowhere near the clarity or openness of the Klipsch. The 820’s do not have low register capabilities ( although not bad) but I have a Def Tech pro sub 800 that fills in nicely. All in all I love the sound that these reproduce. You definitely have to re-drill the holes on the bottom of the speakers to attach the feet or you’ll snap the screw heads off as others have stated.

Better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High quality sound at a mid-range price. Adjusting the EQ on your receiver really unleashes the potential of these speakers.

A nice surprize
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these on sale a few weeks before xmas, unheard. Had a bad experience with Klipsch around 2005, but for 650$ a pair they were worth another chance. My audio system (Parasound, Rega, Oppo,) will share these with my HT system, which is being upgraded. This risk paid off, these speakers are quite the performers. Audiophiles do like horn speakers, and now I see why. Full deep detailed bass, sparkling holographic highs. My new media room is larger and benefits from these. Concerts and the like especially, the sense of "air" gives life to any performance, but does not overdo it. Listened to vinyl since forever, even when it was out of style, these speakers do well by my collection of jazz, rock, soul, you name it. Driving them with a Parasound pre and Parasound A23 125 wpc amp, working mostly in class A. Now that my 20 year old collection of B&W is dying these will be worthy replacements. Worth the retail, on sale you are getting away with something. These are large tho, and maybe the 8000's look cooler, but I just did not see the value. None of the upgrades on the 8000's, in my opinion, are worth the extra coin. For audio or HT you can't go wrong. But if you don't have an easy way of moving them you might want to audition them first. I probably needed to, but it worked out. These floorstanders are amazing, highly reccomended.

Simply Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply great speakers. These anchor our surround system with matching sub, ELAC surrounds and Klipsch elevated/ATMOS speakers. Yamaha 685 receiver provides the power in a theater/music room of 18 x 16 with a 9 foot ceiling. I just cannot imagine better sound in this setting. Crisp, clean, distinct, distortion free at high volume. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Klipsch speakers look great and sound fabulous!! I now have Klipsch towers for front channels and surrounds, with a large Klipsch center as well. The sound is staggering, especially with my 4 ceiling mounted speakers for Dolby Atmos. I just can't get enough of the home theater experience, thanks to these!!

They are showoffs!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had Bose before I got these. I got them home plugged them up and thought these don't sound even close to Bose, they sound terrible!! These speakers need about 100 hours to "break in". After the break in period they are just awesome. Every time I listen to them they amaze me. My friends say they are show offs, that is what they are. Just incredible. Break them in, just listen to them that's it. Oh ya by the way the speakers at the store are NOT broken in, don't pay any attention to the sound. Hey Best Buy, let an employee take those floor model speakers home some weekend. They need to be used and abused. The woofers will loosen up. Clay
