Ever since I’ve been using my Powerbeats Pro, I’ve been looking for something better that is compact, sleek, comfortable for extended use, and sounds amazing. I did my research for about two months and was excited that the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless earbuds were finally here. I’ve always been a car enthusiast so Klipsch partnering up with McLaren just sweetened the deal. When I got it, and looked at the package, the presentation is there. They do a good job at making you feel like you have something special here and that’s before you even open the package and dig in to the contents. I love the color scheme of the orange and black. When you open the box you gain access to the manual, packet giving the info on the partnership of McLaren and Klipsch (which houses a metal engraved card showing you the serial # and the date that it was manufactured) which makes it feel like it’s something special, the IP67 rated carbon fiber carrying case and earbuds, Klipsch/McLaren branded wireless charging pad, USB-A to USB-C adapter, USB-C Charging cable, and 6 different size earbud tips along with 2 parts of wing tips to give you that customized fit.
Carrying Case:
The carbon fiber case feels very nice. It has that black and orange branding which I love. It is easy to open and makes you feel confident that once you use the latch to close it, that the elements will stay out because of the seal it creates around your earbuds. It wirelessly charges when you place it on the charging pad, but also has the option of opening up and charging it with USB-C if you prefer. It has a sturdy bungee cord attached if you need to attach it to your arm, belt, backpack etc. The case is decently sized where it’ll fit into a pants pocket, but it doesn’t make it comfortable if you do so. It comes with a cool, microwaveable plastic container that houses silica gel so if you do have moisture in the carrying case because of sweat, water, or the elements, it will absorb that moisture. I’m not sure if I got a defective one, but I’ve noticed that the silica gel is already coming out of the plastic container. It’s reusable for a couple of times, but then you can purchase a replacement from Klipsch. It has 3 white LED lights inside the case to let you know the battery that is left in the case. 3 means the case is full charge, 2 means the case is 2/3rds full, and 1 means you should charge it. It gives you an additional 24 hours of charge which in my case seem to be pretty close. It doesn’t seem to have a quick charge feature for the price point which is interesting compared to the competitors out there. The magnets are strong enough to hold the earbuds in even if you rigorously shake it and turn it upside down. I do feel that they are not strong enough like the competitors to have confidence of just dropping the earbuds in the case and be sure that they are charging.
Earbuds:
The earbuds themselves are compact, light weight, and have physical touch buttons on each side. On the right is the McLaren logo and on the left is the Klipsch logo. From using them, they are very hit or miss. When you are trying to turn on transparency mode, to trying to skip forward or backward on music tracks, to answering phone calls, I found myself having to push the button multiple times in order for it to work. In doing so, there was always an uncomfortable feeling because you were pushing the ear stalk farther into your ear. I do like that they provide so many different customization options in sizes and also between the silicon and foam tips to help create that “perfect” fit for your ears because I know my left ear is always a little larger than my right ear. The wing tips they provide aid in keeping the earbud stable in your ear. What I don’t like is that they are rubber or silicon and they don’t stay in one place very long once you have put it on the earbud. I find myself having to adjust it constantly which is one more thing I have to worry about when I am exercising or moving around. Like I mentioned previously, the odd thing that I have experienced is that the carrying case has magnets inside of it to help guide the earbuds to snap into place to charge, but because of the wing tips and memory foam tips, they seem to make a large enough gap that the magnets cannot overcome them. I find myself plenty of times placing the earbuds in the charging case, seeing that red indicator light for them charging, but then walking around, they connect to my phone and my music app continues to play while draining the battery. I’ll come back to the earbud and notice that they haven’t charged in the entire time and then I have to adjust it for 2-3 minutes before that perfect position and then it’ll charge which is a huge deal breaker for me. I do not have time to try to find the perfect position every time I want to charge them. My Powerbeats Pro and Sennheiser Momentum TW2 headphones have magnets where every time I just drop them in and even if I wasn’t accurate, they still grab and I’m confident that they are charging. You can use them individually so no master and slave set which I’ve always preferred. You can’t pair this to multiple devices at once, but it’s not a big hassle for me to switch between devices. For someone who does have multiple devices for work and such, then you might look at another company. I wish it did have Active Noise Cancelling along with the transparency mode. I feel like now a days, for this price point that is something that is expected. As for the sound, it sounds pretty good. It is a pretty bright sound and the bass is not overwhelming like other companies. I guess it sits somewhere between my Sennheiser Momentum TW2 and Powerbeats Pro. I can definitely hear the distinction between instruments and feel like I’m there with the artist on certain songs better than the Powerbeats, but not as clear as the Sennheisers. The bluetooth 5.0 works wonderfully and it supporting aptX allows for long range consistently and a lag free experience when listening to music and watching my streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.
Klipsch Connect App:
The app is easy to use, but very limited to what it can do. There’s a section for transparency mode where you can choose how much of the environmental noise you want to let in to still have that awareness from low to high. There’s a section for EQs where they have preset ones or you have the option of customizing your own. You can register your device and update the firmware from there. Other than that, it seems very bland and lacking.
Overall:
I’ll be returning these headphones because there are too many quirks to deal with on the move that it doesn’t out weigh the value of the headphones. These headphones have a great fit, but that fit gets in the way of the charging of the earbuds in the case. Having the option between wireless charging or charging through the USB - C cable is great, but stronger magnets would have helped with maintaining the charge better with the earbuds. Having no Active Noise Cancelling and being unable to pair it to multiple devices at once is definitely something to consider when purchasing these headphones. The sound is decent, but I guess with Sennheiser, B & O, and Master Dynamic companies out there, they have elevated the standard of what high quality sound is when it comes to being in a compact form for a similar price point. I feel like the partnership between Klipsch and McLaren is great, but it seems to be the basis on why Klipsch is asking you should buy this, not because of it being fantastic earbuds and then the color scheme and partnership being secondary. At first, the presentation grabs you and makes you feel like you are getting something extraordinary and unique which made me really want to like these, but in the end, they fell short of my expectations.

Great set of wireless ear buds. Battery life is excellent both with and without the charging case. The sound from these is the best I’ve heard from these types of in ear buds. I prefer the sound to air pods pro, power beats3, Samsung buds + and the Bose sound sport, all of which I have owned. There are plenty of fitment configurations to choose from so it should be possible to find the one that is right for you. I must have some weird shaped ears but these are the first set that I actually feel will stay secure in them. That is one of the main reasons I have tried so many other brands. The power beats did stay secure but the wire would sometimes pull on them and I didn’t like that. If I had a second choice I would have gone with the power beats pro. At the time these were $50 cheaper and I have always been a fan of other Klipsch products. It is worth the extra money to get the mclaren version of these. You get like 7 different ear tips including a set of memory foam ones. 3 different sizes of ear fins and a wireless charging pad that also charges my iPhone. The negatives i have are about the case. It’s big and boxy. If you don’t have the wireless charging pad you have to charge the case with the lid open. The usb-c port is inside. I assume that helps keep the water proof integrity of the case but still with the size of it, it may become a hassle. Hope this helps.

These have been the absolute BEST wireless in ear headphones I've had. They are comfortable, and can be easily switched from Noise cancelling to transparency mode by double tapping the headphone.
Great sound quality as well as being sweat and water proof. The playback time is Awesome, as I can stream music or audio books for 10 hour per ear which allows me to wear one or the other throughout my entire 12 hour shift. Highly Recommended and would purchase again!

Really Like the look and the case. Sound is great if you get them in your ears correctly. If not you don't hear the base. Battery Life has been great. The only cons I see is you need to make sure the ear piece gets in the exact right spot to charge and the ear buds come loose when running on a tread mill.

Within 5 seconds of listening I knew these were a mistake. Sounds so flat on everything, no bass. Even podcasts sound trash, let alone music.
Case is a bit bulky, but had what I think is silica in there for moisture capture?
Fit was not great, but that's subjective. Pressing on the earbud to stop/play was uncomfortable.
Just so disappointed, am a big f1 fan which is why I took the chance but .. I had the Master & Dynamics Plus and they had almost no shortcomings. Great sound (Sony earbuds were the only ones I tried with noticeably better sound), 10hr battery life.

Our apologies you are disappointed with the audio balance. However, Klipsch released an application in the iOS App Store as well as the Google Play store that allows you to adjust the EQ balance in your headphones. Aso, it will provide FAQ's and guides on finding the right ear-tip/wing for you. Please reach out to Klipsch Support directly if you have further questions - https://bit.ly/klipschsupport

Use these for gaming. Beats out the Razer Krakens for bass. A little lag time but not unusable.

Concept for the case was great. Wireless charging also good. The biggest problem with these was the low volume level. With these cranked up I could barely hear my talk radio while I was working. Swapped them out for the Bose quiet comfort. Night and day difference.

I had bought these to replace my AirPods Pro that had gone bad. After reading reviews and asking around decided to give these a try. Was not impressed with the fit and noise cancellation. In my option apple has a better fit for my ears.

These don't fit in the ear and the little rubber piece keeps coming off the ear buds. Did not like. Was not worth it. More worrisome than not. Would not recommend. If that rubber piece isn't in the right spot, they won't go in the ears properly.
