A thoroughly enjoyable movie. One of the best of 2019. Any notion that Daniel Craig would be typecast as 007 forever are dispelled here. He is fantastic in this movie. Chris Evans also does a nice job as he transitions away from his Captain America persona. The rest of the cast is highly entertaining as well. The story is interesting and well-conceived.

Voted one of the top 10 films of 2019, filled with a great cast of characters and actors, and having been nominated for Best Original Screenplay, this murder mystery with a touch of tongue in cheek keeps you guessing and enthralled even when the "who done it" is revealed. A classic in the making, it deserves a second watch even when you know the ending.

I was a little disappointed when it seemed evident who the killer was, but I reminded myself that it said it was twisted. I settled back to enjoy the rest of the film and was well entertained by the clues that were uncovered, and the weaving in the plot that was cleverly unwound. It kept you alert to find the rest of the clues to reveal the surprise.

Really, 3 1/2 stars. It's worth a watch and is an interesting film, but it only really works if you know who Daniel Craig and Chris Evans are. They are playing against type and are loving it, but it's also important to the plot because you don't expect them to act in ways that their characters do, because you are used to them in a different role. Also, the barfing if she doesn't tell the truth, and using it as a lie detector throughout the film....and it being the only reason you have a solution to the murder, is kinda, eh, really?

The great who done it film of 2019. If you like murder mysteries of days gone by, then you owe it to yourself to give this modern take, on the genre, a watch. A fantastic cast, well written and well directed by Mr. Rian Johnson. One of my favorite Daniel Craig movies of all time. Plus a great price on Black Friday 2020.

One of the most unique, gorgeous steelbooks I've ever seen. Decorated like a weathered book, it fits the mystery theme of the movie perfectly, and includes a gorgeous plastic slip for protection (with a hidden easter egg/spoiler included). The movie itself was an unexpected surprise that any lover of a good twist filled mystery would surely enjoy.

This movie is one of the best to come out in 2019, and this release is beautiful. The presentation on this 4K is impeccable, and as someone who doesn't particularly care about steelbooks, the packaging itself is awesome. Easter egg: after you watch the movie flip the plastic sleeve around on the case for a clue to the ending!

Everyone should know by now that this movie is amazing, but the Steelbook is the part to be curious about. It is awesome. I remember initially being disappointed that it was just a typical cover with photos of everyone, but then I realized they designed it to look like a novel from Harlan Thrombey. It's such a cool idea and is executed so well.

I bought a bunch of 4K DVDs when I got a 4K system. Black Friday '21 had lots of 4K DVDs on sale. Was very worth it. Not lots of 4K content out there...so the 4K DVDs are a great way to test / appreciate the 4K system. Hadn't heard of this movie BUT it got good reviews, so...

A smart and funny thrill-ride that anyone can enjoy! Also upon rewatch, of course you'll be picking up many new things. With all this, the packaging and quality matches up with the film, with great design on the outside and inside, which feels great to hold. A modern classic!

One of the top 10 steelbooks ever! No joke, if you collect steelbooks, you must own this. Plastic protective covering? Yep! Very rare and appreciated! The steelbook itself looks like a novel with actual "book pages" on the top and bottom. The only reason this is not a five star review is the film itself. It's a ton of fun and worth seeing, but it's far from perfect. If only they could have worked out making the entire movie in the house/on the property, but when the plot goes into the town (no spoilers), it kind of lessens the impact.

Expecting it to be overhyped upon its release, I didn't watch 'Knives Out' in theaters. (Hindsight, I could have.) I do find it somewhat comparable to 'Clue' (another earlier murder mystery with a broad and noteworthy cast for its time). Though, 'Knives Out' also has elements which remind me of a Wes Anderson movie... Confined, inner room picture shots (cinematography), use of chapter titles, color schemes, and main characters quirks, interactions, etc. Standard Blu-Ray was fine for me. (I don't have Dolby Vision.)

Remember the Agatha Christie books you read, especially those that were made into movies? Murder in the Orient Express? Well, this movie is kind of like that because we do not know who is who until the last frames...a good cast except for the lead male who had the phoniest Southern accent I've ever heard. Good fun, maybe a bit long, but fun.

An impeccable ensemble cast combined with Rian Johnson’s penchant for alluding to film history and telling a story far more relevant and powerful than the surface level story, make for one of the more entertaining films of 2019. It’s funny and charming and speaks volumes about living in the modern era. A rare masterpiece in humor and mystery.

An all star-cast with fantastic performances. ana de armas lits up the screen. highly recommended! from start to finish. The suspense is fantastic. I loved this movie! I love the familiar faces all interacting with a bit of dark humor. I bought the steelbook 4k and the film looks amazing. Overall experience, watch it and better yet buy it.

When I saw this movie in the theater it kept me on the edge of my seat as I tried to guess who did it. I couldn't wait for this movie to be released on blu-ray so I could own it forever. This movie has a phenomenal allstar cast, great acting and a great story. What other movie could you get James Bond and Captain America in the same movie!

Aside from starting the movie (looked great) I didn't watch it but ran it in my home theater for a small group. The sound track sounded great and there was laughter and other (wow) inducing responses from the audience and they all said it was great and wanted to watch it again. This is unusual for movies so this must be one of the best.

Knives Out is one of those old murder mystery movies that reminds you of movies like Clue. If you like that sort of thing you're going to love this movie. The cast is top-notch and Daniel Craig is really enjoying his role on this one. This looks great in 4k HDR. Packaged in a nice steelbook that has a little surprise if you pay attention.

I remember seeing the previews for this movie before it was released in theaters and thinking "this looks boring." Well, a friend of mine recommend it and I must say, I was definitely impressed after watching it! Not only does it have an A-list cast, but I thought the story was really good. I highly recommend this!
